from Works great for shoes... I bought this in the store to use as a shoe shelf. So far it is great. I do need extra shelves but can not find the corect size anywhere. It would be great to be able to get extra shelves with the plugs to hold them in place.

from Shelves bend under weight; unfinished top I bought 3 of these, alder oak color. Follow instructions to the letter.
- Easy to build (60 minutes per unit)
- Have protective kick step at bottom
- Many holes to set desired shelves height
-Security fastening to wall provided, against curious children or small tremors Cons:
-Top of unit plate is unfinished though at 72 inches of height it is not visible (rough particle board gather dust, not water proof)
-Underside of each shelf is also unfinished, preventing reversing them if they curve with time and humidity
-Not sturdy enough for heavy books all yr visitors will say 'Your shelves are bended'- annoying. Looks cheap.
-Shelves DO BEND QUICKLY (less than 1 week) under weight of medium to large books; the fact that melamine is only on one side may contribute to their weakness. May have to buy new good double finished shelves to compensate=extra expense at hdwre store + cut them to good length, a hassle. Shelves provided ARE TOO WEAK, unacceptable!!!
-Easy to hammer nail in the back at the wrong place, then finish in front is ruined because it is chipped from protruding nail from the back...
-Easily damaged in transit; out of 3 bought 1 had to be returned because 5 wooden parts were broken
-Do not buy this for moving often the unit, too flimsy
-Must add 1/4 in galvanized grid in bottom part, behind kick plate, if you want to prevent mice to build a smelly hiding nest there. Easily done.

from product damaged although we managed to build this product the pieces were dented and had chips in it when we picked it up. I am not sure if it was damaged in transit, but should be packed well enough that damage is not a possibility. Also some of the boards should have had holes on one side for building, but one board had it on both sides.....which meant it was made incorrectly. It would have been much more difficult to package it up and send it back, so we placed it in a corner to reduce the visibility of the damage and ill-manufactured parts of the shelf. I would not recommend this product, it is cheaply made and obviously not very durable,

from NOT recommended to order online. Upon delivery, the box (at both ends) was completely ripped open and only taped up with 3 pieces of packing tape......but the product could still be easily seen and open to the elements.
Upon opening the box, every piece of wood was covered in dust and sawdust, etc....very dirty. And, there was even some minor "chips" on a couple of the pieces/shelves, etc.
Only because of the price did I get this.....but next time I will make sure I will go to the physical store to get anything like this again to ensure that I can actually get a product in a box that is fully intact.
Not recommended to order this item via the online store unfortunately.....if you do and you receive it like this.....RETURN IT!

from Bookshelf Recently purchase 5 bookshelf's from Wal-Mart, unfortunately shipment from ups was handled very rough, that had given me 3 broken shelves, so I called up the company and explains the situation, they were very nice about it , I went and picked up new shelves with no arguments or headaches, and they didn't even ask for the old ones, needles to say very happy with the product and their prompt service with a smile. Thank you.

from You get what you pay for (and a little more) Pro: I've been using this shelf for over a month now. I have it LOADED with books and some other things. It still holds and seems very stable. Con:
- When I decided to unload the shelf and move it to another spot in my room, it felt VERY flimsy.
- The back is just two pieces of cardboard Bottom-line:
Its definitely worth what you pay for it. If you want something that looks more high-end/'classy', this isn't the bookcase for you. If you want something that does the job and looks alright, go for it!
