West Bend Iced Tea Maker allows you to create cold, flavorful iced tea or iced coffee at the touch of a button. The 2.75-Liter plastic carafe is dishwasher safe, and the water window allows you to fill accurately. Brew strength selector so you can decide how strong you'd like your iced tea to be, and you can use both bagged tea, or loose leaf tea. This small appliance works similar to a drip coffee maker and will allow you to brew iced coffee to your preferred strength using regular coffee, or espresso beans if you like it stronger or enjoy iced lattes or americanos. Awesome unit! This is our second one. The first one has been working for 3 years and no issues. We did have a push switch the didn't engage which prompted me to order one but the day later worked fine. I'm figuring is was just warm since I just finished brewing a new pot of ice tea.

Really like the size of the Iced Tea Pitcher.  This is 2.75 quarts, just slightly smaller than the 3 quart I am replacing.  LOVE the GLASS pitcher, although putting ice in it makes me nervous.  I am not sure of the thickness and quality of the glass so slowly fill it from a plastic cup from the ice maker, not directly from the ice maker.  The lid on the brewer does not have a tight fit, so lose a little steam when brewing, but it is minor.  LIKE the infuser for putting sliced lemon or whole raspberries in after tea is brewed.

Nice size pitcher

Easy to clean, easy to use.  I am a little concerned that glad pitcher is so thin and might break easily, time will tell.  I use 1/2 cup sugar and a dollop of honey, which I place in glass pitcher prior to brewing.  Sugar melts as hot tea drips on it.  That way there is no sticky syrup in the brew basket.❤

Easy to use

This is a great tea maker but the only issue is the thin glass pitcher. I love the look and it brews exceptional tasting tea but I feel that the pitcher will break or crack very easily.  WestBend should possibly consider a clear plastic pitcher for this item.

I had one of these iced tea makers years ago and absolutely loved it. I like this model and it's definitely better than it's competition but I don't like how thin the glass pitcher is (although very pretty it feels as though it would shatter with the smallest of impacts). Would much prefer plastic personally. This one also doesn't steep the tea for as long as the previous model so I find myself using more tea. My original purchase arrived with a broken on/off switch and the top warped with just one use but customer service was fantastic and immediately sent out a replacement.

Prefer older models

I bought this for my husband because he drinks ALOT of iced tea. This is the second unit we have bought like this. The first one was broken before the first use because we were unaware the carafe was glass. So I went back and bought a second one and was more careful with it.

Be careful the carafe is GLASS!

This makes tea very well. However, like others have stated, the glass pitcher is very thin.  I was very careful not to set it down hard or bump it but after 5 months, the bottom cracked at the 5 month point while I was filling it with ice.  Thankfully I was able to then use a thick glass pitcher that I used for 10 years with a Mr. Coffee tea maker.  Please, West Bend, provide a better pitcher!

Works well but pitcher poor quality

I ordered this 4 months ago despite negative reviews of the pitcher. The description said plastic pitcher, which I wanted but when received thought that to be off, but I'm not an expert. The pitcher broke when setting on the counter. irritated to say the least since it isn't exactly the cheapest pitcher out there.

Broken Pitcher

Contacted customer service within hours of receiving item as it doesn't empty the water reservoir. Followed all instructions in the manual and it never empties. I have to turn the whole thing upside down over the sink after each use and dump the remaining water and due to the design, it's messy that way. Such a pain. Should have some sort of lip or something to facilitate emptying the reservoir, instead of a rim that keeps it from draining properly. Or maybe make a tea maker that uses all the water.

Defective out of the box

Less than a month after purchase, the pitcher cracked.  Prior to purchasing, I read the other reviews concerning the glass pitcher but I planned to be very careful with the product. I always placed ice in the pitcher by hand, hand washed and dried and was extremely cautious. Nothing I did mattered.
