One of the few financial calculators that have PayBack functions. Only a few differences between the TI BA II Plus and the BAII Plus Professional; calculating PB is one of them. For just a few dollars more, having that function is worth it if you are taking a (college level) finance course. It's the official calculator of the business college where I attend.
Look the look, comes with a leather like case. May be nice if it had a hard case like the non pro model but not a "con". Great value, great functions, and easy to use.

Great Financial Calculator

This is a financial calendar for accounting, and was required by her college professor for the coursework.  She has found it easy to use. There is a definite learning curve and the instructions are somewhat murky, but since she has access to her professor, it has been relatively painless. I was also happy it was reasonably priced for a specific calculator after shelling out mega bucks for graphing and other Specialty machines.

Calculator is great but Walmart is misrepresenting the calculator.  The silver one shown is not what I received. I received the new, black and red ba ii plus professional. Not a huge deal for me; I'm ok with the newer version.

Walmart sent me the wrong calculator

What can you say about a calculator? It does what it is supposed to do....it calculates. I needed this one for a finance class. I couldn't find one on the shelf anywhere in town, so I looked at several online retailers, and Walmart was the least expensive. They didn't have one in stock, but the ship to store option was next day. Great service!

As far as a review of the calculator...I haven't had it very long, but so far, it works perfectly. I can't speak to the longevity of the battery. I think it uses a button-type battery. There is not a battery door on the back. It looks like 4 screws need to be removed to access/replace the batt. Solar power feature would have been nice.

It's a calculator

I ordered this calculator for my Business Finance class that I am currently taking at UW-Whitewater. The calculator does everything I need and more! It was delivered early so that I had it for class rather than having to wait and review the material.

Definite worth buying if you are studying/in Finance.

Exactly What I Needed

[Employee of walmartcanada] I used to have the previous generation of this but had to buy a new one when I lost the original.  The image shown on this page is the previous generation, but I believe you get the new one shipped to you since TI doesn't make the old one anymore.  You can search the internet for what the new one looks like.  It is redesigned and the build quality is so much worse, it feels like it would break as soon as it falls.  The BA II Plus is the must have calculator for almost any finance related course, so there really is no way out of using it.  This does the job of a financial calc, but I would recommend searching the used market for the older generation before you decide to buy the inferior quality of this new version.

Cheap plastics, horrible quality, but does the job

The calculator does not look like this when it arrives.  If I had known the calculator looked different than pictured, I would not have ordered.
