Softee Baby Yarn - Solids-Aqua

I have now ordered wool from Walmart.ca twice and I highly recommend! It is getting increasingly difficult to find the wool I want locally - so I was very happy to be able to order the colours I want, in the amounts I want AND get it with FREE shipping! Tracking the shipment was super - and both times the wool came in ahead of the original scheduled delivery. My only suggestion would be an option to specify that you would like the wool to be of the same dye lot - for some projects and wools this can make a big difference!

I am overall pleased with the yarn and am in the middle of crocheting a baby blanket. It works up quickly and easily. The Grey marl splits a little but not enough to cause problems. It is for a baby that I don't know the sex yet but the room is painted a light grey. The only difficulty is that I wasn't able to easily start the yarn from the middle.

Bernat Softee Baby

I would like to give this product 5 stars, but its weight/thickness/texture is inconsistent across colors.  I have an Antique White and Soft Peach that are thick and fuzzy, closer to worsted in weight.  Bubble Gum is thinner and very silky.  Aqua and Lilac are in between.  All were purchased at the same time, in March 2023. The differences are large enough that I have to use different knitting needle and crochet hook sizes to get the same gauge.  That makes it difficult to combine the yarns in the same pattern.  I actually prefer the texture and weight of the Bubble Gum, but I would settle for consistency.

Purchased this for one project and ended up building another...but I am spending just as much time unravelling as I am stitching. The center pull is continually unveiling a large knot!! Very frustrating for the price paid.
Once the project is eventually completed it will be appreciated, however I'll not purchase again.

Nice yarn, bad wrap.

One skein fell out of the wrapper into a knotted mess! 4 people have worked to unravel it. The project is time sensitive so I really am disappointed that Bernat has poor quality control. I've knotted %26 crocheted for 60 years %26 have never seen new, 'quality' yarn in such poor condition.

I used this yarn in a beautiful dainty blessing blanket for a newborn with an accompanying newborn bonnet!!!  Accented with Soft Peach, the Antique White was a lovely gift that could be used at a christening for a wee baby girl.  The softness made it a perfect cuddly newborn blanket.

This yarn was all cut up inside, I could not even finish the baby blanket I was making for as a baby shower gift.... very disappointed in this product.  I have used this brand before and never had this problem before.

I love this yarn. It's perfect for the bonding squares I make for the NICU at the local hospital. Soft and gentle on the NICU babies❤️. The picture is of the same yarn only yellow. I use the pink and aqua too. >^.^<

This yarn is so soft and light. Did have trouble now and then with a little separation with yarn. But we'll worth it. Color is bright. Will buy again.

Made 2 blankets with this yarn. It worked out but this yarn splits way too much.
