Bowflex PR1000 is rated 4.6369 out of 5 by 157.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around great machine I'm really impressed with versatility of this machine. I'm ml miss universe, but I'm just trying to tone and feel better. I'm 34, but already have arthritis in my knees, elbows and shoulders due to old injuries. This machine doesn't put all the pressure on my joints and forces me to follow through my exercises with just my muscles. My boyfriend has similar issues with his back and is finding this much more beneficial to use than high impact exercises. I would absolutely recommend this machine, and a buddy to help you assemble it. Don't kid yourself, you will not have it put together in a half hour. But the payoff is worth it. We have it on our living room so it's impossible to forget to work out, and we both love not having to commit to a gym membership where you have to deal with meat heads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect This is so perfect - I love the fact that it can be folded up after each use- great for small workout areas. I have used Bowflex for years and I replaced the one I had for 15 years - with this one . I get the work out I need and I would not change a thing-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble and great quality! I originally was interested in other brand name gyms but decided to go with this one after reading how cheaply made the other ones were. This bowflex took me about 2 1/2 hours to build and that was going slow and getting distracted. And no I didn't need a guys help... I am a 22 year old, 120 lb female who was able to do everything by myself. The equipment is great quality and can tell it will last a long time. Also interchanging all the work out set ups is extremely easy. Definitely worth the buy!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent home gym system! I have wanted a Bowflex since I first came across their infomercials in 2001. They were only available through mail order back then, and cost quite a bit (~ $2,000 ?). Fast forward to 2015, when I decided it was time to invest in a home gym, I immediately looked into the Bowflex. The two common ones available were the PR1000 and PR3000. I looked into both of them and found excellent reviews everywhere. After reviewing the specs, I decided on the PR1000 as it 1.) had the rowing feature which I thought was a nice plus; and 2.) cost a few hundred dollars less than th PR3000. I have had it for six months now, and am extremely pleased with my purchase. I waited 14 years to have a Bowflex of my own. It arrived in a rather large, flat pack box. Since I planned on using it in my basement, I opened the box and brought the machine down in it's unassembled parts (much easier!!). Assembling was a breeze, really. My wife helped me, and we put it together in just under 2 hours. These two steps helped : 1. take 10 mins to read the instructions completely (having an idea of each step while performing the assembly helps the process as each stpes makes sense) and 2. organize the various nuts and bolts into their respective size (nothing is more frustrating than using the wrong size bolt, discovering this error a few steps later, and having to go backwards undoing each step). The workouts are fantastic, whether for a quick 20 minute session in the morning before going to work, or a longer full workout in the evenings / weekends. The 210 lbs of resistance is entirely sufficient for me. In fact, I have never had to max out on the resistance. 6 months in, and I can notice the difference in my arms, chest, shoulders, abs, back and thighs. I am pleased to say, this thing works!! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a home gym system that does what it claim at a reasonable price. An excellent value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for me:) I used to do Pilates but at $18 a class it's expensive so I wanted to try this machine and I find that there are many exercises that I can do that are similar to what I did on the Pilates machine. After a few decent workout sessions getting accustomed to how it works, I feel pretty goood. I can definitely get a good workout and there's plenty of resistance to work with. Good price for the variety of exercises that you can do. It's pretty quiet, smooth, and easy to adjust and put together.
