For ages the canoe has been a symbol of wilderness, adventure, and serenity. Wolf Den Expeditions offer you an opportunity to experience what the canoe symbolizes. You will be learning a series of paddling techniques, canoe manoeuvres, rescues, and water safety. The course will be held at Shade’s Mill Conservation Area in Cambridge, and at the end of the lesson, you will have gained the knowledge and confidence to adventure out on your own and explore the world by canoe. No previous experience is required for the lesson, and it is a great way for a beginner to learn new skills, or just to brush up on some past experience. The canoes, paddling equipment, and admission to the conservation area are provided. At the completion of the day, you will receive an ORCKA Flatwater canoeing certification that is highly regarded all across Canada.
