Give Images a Whole New Perspective8x Optical Zoom with 28mm Wide-Angle lens

The PowerShot ELPH 115 IS features a powerful Genuine Canon 8x Zoom Lens that delivers outstanding optical performance and versatility. Fitting a high-performance lens with such wide zoom range into a camera so thin would normally be considered an impossible feat but Canon's expert optical engineering met the challenge, developing a lens that achieves outstanding compactness with high zoom power and superb performance. The zoom starts at 28mm wide-angle and extends to 224mm telephoto (35mm equivalent), covering an exceptionally wide range. The telephoto reach gives you the freedom to capture subjects from a considerable distance, while the 28mm wide-angle makes it easy to shoot sweeping landscapes, large groups of people and tall buildings.

High Resolution, Highly Advanced Performance

The DIGIC 4 Image Processor powers the camera's advanced systems and features, ensuring fast, reliable performance with low battery consumption.

Canon DIGIC Image Processors have set the standard for functionality and performance since their groundbreaking introduction in 1999. With each successive generation, DIGIC processors have brought elevated performance and powerful new features to PowerShot digital cameras. The DIGIC 4 Image Processor has ushered in a new level of picture quality and accelerated processing, making possible features such as high-speed continuous shooting, HD video and Face Detection Self-timer.

Canon PowerShot Elph 115 IS Silver Blister is rated 3.2667 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Instruction Manual I purchased an ELPH 115 IS and upon unpacking it I thought it looked very well made. Then I read the information and low and behold I find that the instruction manual is online!! Had I known this your product would have not even been considered for purchase!! Now I have to spend my time, ink and paper to get what should have been in the box!! I will never reccomend any of your products!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tiny platform for CHDK For years, I've used a lot of Canon PowerShots fin my research because they can run be programmed using CHDK. This is one of the smallest and cheapest CHDK-capable cameras in current production, and it works quite well -- as do other PowerShots containing similar guts. Image quality is better than you'd expect and excellent for the price. Under CHDK you get a lot more features, including raw. The camera JPEGs are pretty good for this class of camera, but raw definitely improves the dynamic range. The lens is also much wider than stated, with distortion and vignetting being processed and cropped-out in camera JPEGs -- processing raws externally gives you a usefully wider view angle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from frustration I open the box. No software or usb. No warning on box. Online manual does not print the pages I ask for but random other pages. My last camera was much easier to start using This one is hard and time consuming

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Where are the wires? Instructions are bad. While the camera is great to use. There were no wires in the box to connect the computer to download the pictures. Also, the instructions are hard to follow. The menu is difficult for me to follow. So I have pictures to look at, no way to download, and no wad to print. This sucks. I am done with Canon, unless they help me soon. Supposed to be wireless, but I can't figure it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little camera Bought two of these for my kids. Plenty of features and options. The pictures come out pretty good for a tiny little camera, as do the videos. With the optical zoom, this blows away cellphone cameras, and it's small enough to fit in your pocket. I gave the kids 16GB high-speed SDXC memory cards (Patriot and SanDisk). No problems with camera or cards. The kids love the cameras, and are taking good care of them. Sure beats the toy V-tech cameras these replaced. Tip: close the battery/card door when charging - you wouldn't want it to break off (good advice for kids!).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eh soso. KInda disappointed While overall it is fine I have a hard time handling it comfortably while shooting movies since the placement of the microphone is in a horrible spot (on the bottom right of the lens instead of being on the top left of the lens where the instruction manual shows it should be), Thus I almost always end up swiping my finger across the microphone during recordings which leads to the sound being cut out. Either that or it is the camera itself that is faulty during recordings and the sound cuts out by itself. I still need to do a few more tests on it to see if it is me or the camera itself. Along with this there is no grip design on front for easier handling like my old Canon Powershot A710 has.
