I LOVE THIS NEW CINETIC....would give it 10 STARS! We have dark stained hardwood floors + cat + dog and you can imagine the dust that is generated. I like to walk barefoot when the weather permits and I was finding that after my cleaning person came the floors still seemed dusty. I purchased the new Cinetic Big Ball canister and was amazed at what was being picked up after the cleaning person left using her vacuum. I will note that you need to use a steady slow stroke when cleaning otherwise no vacuum will work well. 2 count out - 2 count back and the suction on the Cinetic works wonders just look at what came off the kitchen floor (back pile) and living room and dining room floors. AMAZING!

My floors are now truly clean!

I love my Dyson vacuum .  It's the only one that I will buy my last Dyson lasted my 10years.

I just bought this product but almost didn't. The negative reviews almost changed my mind. I am so happy I believed in Dyson and took a chance! This vacuum is light enough to be carried by the elderly, not bulky and the animal hair tool is fantastic! I own 2 Labrador Retrievers and as soon as I turn it on I'm swarmed lol! They love it! The suction and bagless feature is amazing! All you nay sayers need to explore your tools, you can't only use one for every job. I think that you would only be happy if you had a maid. Now I'm going to buy a Dyson Air Purifier !

You Got it Right Dyson!

Brought this Hoover as me and my partners where getting our own place together. Knowing that Dyson Hoover are great quality, through my parents owning Dysons for the past 15 years. Great Hoover, great price and just brilliant. All the tools it comes with are fantastic and great for the jobs they are designed for.

Great Hoover

I have to constantly vacuum the house due to unless shedding (2 huskies) so we need something more efficient with great maneuverability. It is very easy to push around (much easier than an upright vacuum), big ball technology maked it impossible to tip over, can easily reach under furniture and reach on top of furniture, and, it doesn't have a filter! You can probably get more suction out of an upright vacuum especially for carpets, but the efficiency of this canister vacuum will make vacuuming so much more effortless. We will see how well it holds up over time! I'm definitely very thrilled about the new vacuum, but the dogs, not so much!

Husky owner

I had previously purchased the Dyson Ball Animal 2 which was recommended by friends - although it is a great machine, it did not meet our needs.  We mostly have hardwood floors in our home and didn't love the way the machine maneuvered.  Dyson was absolutely amazing and the return went flawlessly.  



We then purchased this one.  Dyson Cinetic Big Animal - I am speechless at its performance.  I love the way it handles, the extendable ‘stick' is amazing and easy to adjust to different heights.  All the attachments, my oh my, I have no clue if I will ever use them all but they are great.



I am an owner of 7 Siberian Huskies who live in our home and this machine is a a godsend.  I even tried out the grooming tool and when I can't get the blower out to groom outdoors, I can see myself using it with my pack.  It's a great little addition.



Dyson has done a great job in the design and ease of maintenance.  I highly recommend this little machine.

A Siberian Husky Owner MUST

Well maybe have someone who speaks English and understands thev request recieved a call that my vacuum was in the store I missed the call so I called back and had a young man argue with me that he couldn't find it but yet I recieved the call it was there…. I was not happy with the conversation and that he was prosistant that it was not there…… maybe train the people coming from out of country what items ar

Dissapointed

We previously owned a Dyson cannister vacuum that served us well for at least 12 years. Excellent suction, power head, and solidly built. We now have the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal pro. The suction is not quite as powerful as our previous Dyson. We were disappointed that the brush head is not motor-powered but rather powered by the air flow (a much less effective arrangement with the brush slowing down on carpet). Lastly, the build quality is very disappointing. Low quality materials combined with much more awkward storage. Our previous model folded up nicely, there were locations to connect all the attachments to the cannister, and the hose wrapped around the cannister for easy storage. Our new Big Ball Animal Pro is not as ergonomic. We need a bag to hold the attachments, the hose does not collapse for easy storage, and the holder for the wand looks like it will break after minimal use.

Lower quality than our previous Dyson

I have now owned the cleaner for 7 months and have waited to review because of some niggles that I wanted time to evaluate fully.



The cleaner is very powerful and extracted significantly more dust from a rug that we had just cleaned with our old Dyson. So much so I often have to use the reduced power setting with the standard head on hard floors. This is actually a bit irritating when cleaning a variety of surfaces as you have to keep changing the setting.



The brush head is really good on carpet and definitely clogs less than our old Dyson. Probably the most impressive feature as it really makes carpets look clean and gets every last dog hair!



The ball shape is good because the machine always rights itself, but the sides of the ball seem to chip the paint in door frames far worse than the more traditional shaped machine. Again this is irritating as I have to be very careful to pull the machine through the centre of all doorways, whilst avoiding any contact with walls or other painted surfaces. Its just extra faff when I just want to get on with cleaning.



Finally I like the design of the cylinder that allows emptying with one push, but the quality of the catch is poor and occasionally falls open when walking to the bin. Very annoying! The catch at the bottom of the cylinder feels so flimsy that I'm sure it won't last. It often takes several attempts to get it to stay shut. Disappointing because our old Dyson was nearly 10 years old and always felt very solid; can't help but think that quality may be suffering in favour of profit margins, which given the cost of the machine isn't great.

Very powerful, but quality and design issues

In 2011 we bought the DC23 canister vacuum and it was amazing. The stair hugging capability was great and although it didn't transition from carpet to floors, as smoothly as Id hoped it would, the motor head picked up everything in its path. 

I worked so well, that within a 4yr span I had talked 3 friends and a family member into purchasing it.

After 12 years I was sad when it finally died but I didn't even hesitate to go out and purchase a new Dyson (Sept 2023)

I don't know where to begin with my disappointment

The canister is smaller, the suction on hardwood is awful and its even worse on carpet. 

If the Cinetic Big Ball Animal Pro was the first Dyson vacuum I'd purchased, I would have warned friends & family to stay away
