In love with the color of this polish. It's one of those shades which can be worn for pretty much any reason: work, evening out, or just because the sky is grey. The formula is great and applies smoothly. Used 3 evenly thin coats.

The polish just glides on so easy and the coverage from even just one coat is good. There is no awful smell either like others I have used. I have had this on for 3days jow and had no chips or flakes so it's hard wearing as I am very heavy handed. I don't know what more to say other than I LOVE this colour and brand!!x

Subtle Cool

I've had this polish for a while, and first picked it up because I wanted to have a nice grey in my collection. When I got home, I found that it was a little too dark for my taste, I had in mind that I wanted a lighter, softer grey than petal pushers was, so I put it on the back burner. Even though the color was not my favorite, the formula is really good. It has a really good build-up from the first coat, which can be very patchy and streaky.

Recently, I made the rash decision to cut all of my nails, leaving the thumbs and pinkies very stubby looking. In my state of "depression over nails," I randomly decided to paint my nails petal pushers, and my nails look much longer, more elegant, and very clean-looking. While I am still hunting for that perfect light grey, I am enjoying this color.

I highly recommend a top coat, (I used good to go) which will even out the polish and make it even more shiny. And as always, more thinner layers are the way to go. I know this color is a lot of people's favorite grey, and it is a really great color.

I bought Seas the Day. It's a lovely robin's egg blue, and in the bottle it appears to have a lovely iridescence that just mesmerized me. Unfortunately, on my nails, it reads as a flat cream polish. The color is pretty, but I have others very similar to it. I wanted it to have at least some depth and shimmery quality, and I only get the faintest hint of that when the light hits it juuuuust right. I tried to capture the difference in the pics. Additionally, the application was less than ideal. It was patchy and plastic-y and even with the second coat, I can see areas that are uneven and semi-transparent. Lots of people wouldn't notice but I do and it bothers me, as most Essie polishes perform better than this. It's a pretty spring-y blue that I believe would look great on most skin tones (I am a fair white woman, with pink undertones, for comparison), but it's nothing special.
