Ratings & Reviews+

Exerpeutic 1000 XLS High Capacity Magnetic Recumbent Bike with Pulse is rated 4.394957983193278 out of 5 by 1,071.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working in first 3 weeks For the 3 weeks that the product worked it was great and I would've given it 5 stars.I really enjoyed it and used it almost daily. 3 weeks after I received it the computer failed. Paradigm's toll-free number doesn't work in Canada so I sent several e-mails which all went unanswered. I even posted a question on this page asking how I can contact Paradigm from Canada, but my question was never published to the site. When I contacted web support they said an admin has to review it before publishing, which makes sense...yet to this day my question has never been posted. After a few weeks of this I was finally able to reach Paradigm using a VOIP program that made it look like I was calling from the U.S. They sent me a replacement computer a little over a week later. Unfortunately the computer they sent was for the wrong bike. 2 more weeks of trying to reach them by e-mail and VOIP, with no response. Finally I sent a message to them via their Facebook page and the agent apologized and sent me another replacement computer, but he/they didn't send the appropriate customs paperwork with it so it got held at the border on Dec 10/2013. It stayed there until Jan 15/2014 when even FedEx, after numerous attempts to get a reply from them, had had enough of this company and just returned the package to them. They received the returned package on Jan 24/2014. Today is March 1/2014 and I have not heard a word from them since January 7th, so I guess they figure "Oh well, we tried". It's incredibly frustrating to pay money for a product that fails so quickly and then be treated like this. While your experience with the product might be great provided it never fails, I'd caution anyone from purchasing a product from a company that is this unresponsive, unreliable and apparently indifferent to the products it manufactures and the customers who purchase them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK I've been using this bike for the past month or so, and find it very useful to have in my home. However, the seat is not very comfortable. My tailbone get sore. I've arranged some pillows on the seat and behind my back for more comfort, and it's ok. I think I'd choose a different bike if I could.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Purchase! Easy to assemble - only a few tricky parts for me (tension knob and seat). Instructions looked overwhelming at first, but were easy to follow step by step. Took a few hours but I took my time and took breaks. Not quite the same ride as a bike at a gym, but actually pretty good considering the price - quite sturdy and comfortable. I do not regret this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bike Bike was easy to assemble ( although we do have 1 spare part ) We chose this Bike because it takes a higher weight than most for a reasonable price. Husband who is 6'5" uses it and is very happy with it. Usually rides for an hour and does find the seat very hard after awhile. We are going to put some memory foam on it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT HAPPY! I bought this for my husband for Christmas...January is not over yet and its already been 2 weeks since the digital display monitor stopped working! !!!! It does not track anything except the heart rate, and it doesn't always do that!!  So his Christmas gift now sits in the corner of our living room,  all put together...and since we threw out the large box it came in once we assembled it, it is a constant source of anger and frustration as we are not sure how we are suppose to transport and carry this bike to Walmart to return it!!!   Not Impressed!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defective The cycle took a couple of hours to assemble. One of the last tasks is to attach the pedals. Unfortunately one pedal arm was not threaded properly and thus I could not screw in the pedal. I have the option of disassembling the bike and packing it up to return or hauling it to a local store. Then I can start over. Not happy!
