LeapFrog® Fridge Phonics™ Magnetic Letter Set - English is rated 4.5333 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun And Educational This is a nice toy that helps kids learn the alphabet. The age on the toy says 2 years and up, but I would say it works for kids a bit younger than that as well (my son is under 2, but we believe in early learning). The set comes with the bus-shaped base and all the alphabet letters. The letters are chunky and easy to grasp, and they fit into a slot on the bus. When pushed, the bus sings a song about the pronunciation of the letter, and uses the letter in a sentence with a second push. The musical note symbol on the bus sings two songs (the Alphabet song and Wheels on the Bus). This is a Canadian toy - it says "zed" not "zee" in the song! This is supposed to go on the front of the fridge, but I put it on the front of the dishwasher. The magnets are good, I have opened and closed the dishwasher many times and they have not moved/come off. The songs are catchy for small kids, and moving the letters around holds their interest more than just a flat toy. I would recommend this toy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update of an old classic. We have always had magnetic letters on the fridge, so it was nice to update with this new set from LeapFrog. Since we have other LeapFrog products, the kids were already familiar with many of the songs and sounds. As soon as we put it up, the little one started playing with the letters. If like our other kids, this one will spend countless hours with me in the kitchen with his new toy. Finally, I know that it isn't a big deal for everyone, in our house we appreciated the Canadian/British pronunciation of the letter Z.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great toy for learning This is a great toy for learning. My child plays with this longer then most other toys he has because there are just so nanny letters to insert into the bus. The voice is pretty clear on most letters and is loud enough. Lucky they included two sound levels selection. Good to hear that Z is pronounced ZED. My only issue is that the bus nor the letters stuck to my stainless steel fridge. I have my child playing one with this on the carpet and have to use a bag to hold all the letters. For the price, I think it's a great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great learning tool to keep you kid busy. When I showed the box to my son (2 and half) he got all excited. He couldn't wait for me to open the box. There was instructions but kids don't need any hehe. Very easy to play with. Run right out of the box. You have 2 different volume option and you can turn it off. There's also a button that will play the alphabet song. The magnetic letters are very well made, there's no sign of magnets that could fall off or be chewed off. They stick very nicely to the refrigerator. Also it's very easy to put the letters in the device. There's only 1 way it will fit and my son figured it out very quickly. It's not too big so it fits well on the refrigeratorwith all the letters. The only thing I would say is that I wish it would be bilingual (english/french). This version is only english. Our first language is french but I want my son to learn english. We only had it for a few days and I could hear him say some sound that the letter makes when you put them in. I was impressed. It's also a great game to keep your kid entertained while you are cooking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, fun, educational This is a pretty straightforward toy. It pronounces and has little jingles for each out the letters as they're placed in the main 'holder'. Very educational and very useful as well with the magnets that back each of the letters. The magnets can hold up papers on your fridge as well but aren't heavy duty so probably only a piece of paper at a time. Has volume control as well, multiple jingles per letter. Good value! For Canadians, they pronounce 'z' as 'zed' just so you know in case that bothers you :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun train set, a bit tricky to put together Have a 3.5 year old that likes trains and thought this would be a nice first introduction to an electric powered train set. It's quite the set actually, much larger than I initially thought and actually a little bit harder to put together than I would have thought - especially to make the track align properly so that Thomas can complete his continuous loop. Other than that, it's fun, you can rearrange the track and it'll still work just fine and there's 4 'action' points on the track to keep things exciting.
