Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO® Creator Expert® - Tower Bridge (10214) is rated 4.7206 out of 5 by 204.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Build with caution! Do not get me wrong. The set looks great, it is enormous and beautiful *But* it is really unstable, and unlike the Big Ben which is a lot stronger, this one can easily collapses. Yesterday after finishing building it, I took it to the dedicated display area I allocated for it, and as soon as I lifted it, both towers collapsed. This is not surprising actually. The designer did not paid enough attention to the strength of the structure, and you can only notice this during the building process. What do I propose to prevent a similar accident? After building both towers, do not connect them, move them one by one, and after you place them, connect the upper bridges, the roofs and the chains. I would not recommend this set unfortunately, and if you want to decide between this and The Big Ben, go with the Big Ben without thinking twice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Detail, detail, detail This is the first large Lego set I have purchased. Seeing as Tower Bridge has been around since 2010, I just had to get this set before it's retired. I have to say that I enjoyed every minute of the 16 hours it took to assemble. The intricate detail is breathtaking. Regularly throughout the build I would pause and admire. It's true that there is a lot of repartition, however I personally embraced and enjoyed that. I chose to build each tower separately to a point, but that's just personal choice. The final model really is a great display piece. Although my journey back to Lego is relatively recent, I feel this is one of the best sets Lego have ever produced. The fact it has been around for 7 years is testimony to that. If you're deliberating about purchasing this set; do it! You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Piece! It's so much fun to start to build Legos again! I saw that set a while ago and ever since I was wanting to buy it. Now I did and I'm super happy about it. Like some people said it is sometimes repetitive, but it's still a lot of fun. I build it slowly over the course of a few days the first time and now I just built it again recently. It's expensive, but worth it! Looking forward to the Assembly Square!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! We really enjoyed building this. But as the bags were not numbered we found that added an hour or 2 in to the build, thinking sereval pieces were missing then 10 minutes later it turned up! But it was really good fun, little pricey and looking at other counties who can buy it we actually pay more which puzzled me. But this along with Big Ben are a fans perfect build. Now it's just finding someone for it to go! Haha.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay I was very excited to purchase and assemble this "realistic" set, but after the build/finished product I think there are much more fun sets out there. Before starting the set, I sorted the sets by color/piece groupings. This made for a much quicker build, with less frustration trying to find pieces-although I was almost certain a few times I lost a piece. Pros: Reflective of the landmark, lots of pieces, no missing or broken pieces. Cons: -Tiny vehicles. Was hoping the double decker bus was more like the 40220 London Bus. However, due the arch opening smaller size was needed, but I think there was opportunity to have a bus/vehicle a bit more like other Lego vehicles. -Boring to build. The buildings are exactly the same and therefore almost all steps are x2. Since many of the pieces are not bricks, it gets very monotonous. -Kind of ugly. The primary color of tan/beige and grey is not appealing. More color scale similar to the actual bridge would have been nice, just my opinion, not really a con.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Set As the most expensive model I've ever purchased, I can say confidently that the building experience and final product were worth every dollar. As an advanced builder and all-around LEGO fan, the functional and colorful details of the modular sets (I own the detective's office, palace cinema, and pet shop) definitely add to my building experience, but can be aesthetically distracting at times for those who are not engaged in the playing experience. Don't get me wrong-I love the modular sets-but the Tower Bridge offered a level of sophistication in detail that was not only apparent to me, as a LEGO enthusiast, but to my family and friends who saw the finished model as well. The building process was at times monotonous, but never boring. Small pieces created a more complicated and therefore a more challenging build, but at no time was I confused or lost. Taking a moment here and there to appreciate the progress I was making as I went along proved that I was truly impressed by the model. I would definitely recommend this set, and would say that it has been my favorite build so far.
