LEGO Juniors - Knights' Castle (10676) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lego Set Really great Lego set, lots of pieces and convenient container to fit plenty more Lego. Our 3 year old loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great first lego set for our child I have been a Lego fan for the better part of my life and continue to play as an AFOL. My 2.5 year old son has been playing along side me for a while and I decided that it is finally time for him to have his own set. I am extremely happy with my choice of this set. We haven't even used the instructions to build the featured model yet and we're loving this set as a family (wife copied the castle on the box picture though). We also ignored the numbered bags and just dumped the lego bricks out on the floor to play with. My son totally loves this set. He also uses the catapults as giant spoons for the minifigures. Pros: -Excellent selection of pieces, both castle specific and plain pieces in wonderful colors. -Not very many fixed use pieces, even the castle wall pieces are better than the old ones I have from the 80s with the corners taken out and an extra support piece sticking out of the back. -Non flexible base plates that can be connected together, great for smaller children who have a problem with the more flexible regular base plates on carpet. -Nice storage box, pieces cannot get wedged into corners like on older basic lego set boxes. Cons: -Instructions could have had inspiration pictures like in the old days of just a bunch of things that can be made with this set instead of just building instructions. -Why do so many of the new Lego themed sets have to involve conflict between a "good" and "bad" side? There is even a cartoon in the instructions of the bad guy brandishing his crossbow at the other minifigures! Can we just build a cool castle with medieval characters in it? I'm thinking of the awesome Medieval Village set that came out a little while back. We decided to simply mix up the bodies and pretend that the bad guy is upset about something in his life. Again, I can't stress how much fun this set is, it's just a great selection of Lego pieces with some castle elements thrown in to add theme and some instructions if you are interested in building the specific models shown on the package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Mighty Castle for Knights This set caught my eye because of the white horse (I've loved horses since I was five or maybe four). I also liked the idea of extra bricks, since I didn't have any, but what really cinched the deal was that it was on sale. I haven't regretted the purchase for one second. The set consists of 480 pieces, which includes the pieces to build three minifigures and a horse. The build itself is very easy for an adult. Since the targeted buyer is, however, a 4-7-year-old child, this might not be the case. If the child has never played with Lego before, reading the instructions might be a bit difficult at first, but I think that won't be a problem for long. In my opinion, the most difficult parts of the build for a four-year-old may be putting the treasure chest lid and the dungeon door in place. For the older or adult Lego fan, there is a good number of bricks (1x2, 2x2, 1x4 and 2x4) one can use when building one's own creations. I, personally, have already used most of the white bricks for a modular that I've built, and I wouldn't be surprised if I were able to include all the blue roof tiles in my building, too. The only flaw in my particular set is that the king's crown keeps falling off all the time. Maybe a witch doctor slipped something in his mead and now his head is shrinking. ps. I think I'll name the white horse 'Shadowfax' and donate him to Gandalf the White. I've heard rumors that the RSPCA are investigating the king and his minions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lego set I mostly bought this for the big red box, and the three minifigs that came with it. The instructions were easy to follow, the set includes many different colored bricks. the only complaint I have about it is that the gate is one large piece and not several small sections. Also there are no doors for the gate even though it looks like there should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Set for the Young Lego Fan I purchased this set with my 3.5yo son. We had fun building it together; it was not too difficult, even though this was my son's first foray into Lego from Duplos. He has played with it non-stop for a week now. I purchased an extra set of knights, and they've been waging war constantly. Last night, the battle also included plastic civil war soldiers and the Star Trek ship U.S.S. Vengeance, as well as 2 aliens and Dr. Who in a spacesuit. I cannot confirm what the skirmish was about, as neither Star Fleet nor The Doctor were available for comment.
