Was exactly what I had ordered and the instructions attached to it made it easy to piece together.

These were perfect for my space. I'm using them as nightstands/dresser. Sitting next to my king bed they are perfect size and price was great for product.
Easy to put together but best to have a friend assist. Would do all the prep first then assemble.
Happy with my products and super fast shipping. I will order again from Walmart.

Good enough

The box was badly damaged but so far everything is looking good. I had purchased one before this one and decided to use them as night stands. The drawers open smoothly and hold a lot. Very easy to assemble but I suggest putting it together as close to the the spot where it is intended...the finished unit is pretty heavy for it's size.

Ambitious project so take on with an open mind that it will take a while to assemble.

Long detailed review ahead for those interested:

I looked at quite a few dresser options prior to this purchase incl. on wayfair, canadiantire, and other dressers on walmart online

Reasons I ended up going with this one - dresser wt of 56-57lbs was borderline of what I could manage solo as a woman with not a lot of upper body strength. Other dressers were quite a bit heavier in the 80-100lbs range which I would need to seek help to move around, assemble, position etc The other main reason was that other dressers I saw had bulky frames/designs and small drawers, vs. this one had a slim frame and large drawers. 

Aesthetics is one part of the dresser, but I also needed it to be functional in storing the clothes.

Pros -

1) Affordable 
2) Large drawers with lots of room for clothes, along with drawers that pull out quite a ways instead of only pulling out halfway and half the drawer being hidden inside
3) Instructions and parts/hardware package labelling - very clear, step-by-step including orientation of pieces to ensure minimal mistakes
4) Colour matches the website description/colour
5) Smooth finish inside the drawers so clothes don't snag on unfinished/exposed wood
6) Well packaged - fedex delivery person damaged the external packaging during delivery, and I was worried that the dresser inside would also be damaged - but apart from a tiny <1cm area where the paperfoil peeled where max damage from shipping was inflicted, rest of the pieces were all intact. Superglue used to fix the above.

Cons 
1) Lots of time and tedious to assemble - solo woman with experience doing other furniture assembly took 5-6 hrs .. spread out over a couple days with lots of breaks etc and going slowly
2) When assembling the drawers - there's a plastic connector that connects the drawer 3/4 assembled to the drawer front for complete drawer assembly. This is very difficult to attach unless you have an offset/wrench ratchet screwdriver/ or a long telescoping ratchet screwdriver, because it's a very tight space/corner in which to tighten the screws. Had to go buy this separately in order to finish the drawer assembly.

3) Material re - Particleboard, with paper foil. Paper foil is very fragile and easily damaged during transit or assembly if it gets hit the wrong way
4) Poor quality MDF - several times the screws stripped the 'wood' so had to use super glue to reinforce in a few areas. Did not use any power tools (don't even own them).

5) The holes for the cabinet glides were very well aligned. Unfortunately, the holes for the drawer glides on the base of the drawers were poorly drilled and aligned. Drawers are very subtly misaligned (2-3 mm off) which means they stick out by a few mm when assembled, but still usable/functional, and not very noticeable unless you are very close to it.  The screws stripping the wood happened the most while installing the drawer glides on the drawers - so be careful doing these ones. 1-2/3 screws on each side (multiple by 6 total sides) seemed to partially strip the wood (towards the end.. so there was still enough grip to have the glide held firmly).

6) The Back of the dresser is cardboard- hammered in with nails. I didn't have a hammer, but had some small+short wood screws and screwed it in. I have done this before for other similar types of furniture with cardboard backing and not had issues. It was fine for the most part, but I damaged a corner because the cardboard holes did not correctly line up with the dresser frame, and two of the screws ended up pushing through the dresser frame along the finished side instead of the screws going into the dresser frame in  the correct alignment. Superglue to some rescue, but this was a bad damage ~1.5cm broken piece, and am glad it occurred in a tucked away corner never to be seen again. 
I would advise sticking to the hammer and nails for the cardboard backing. Go buy the hammer if like me you don't have one.  Make sure you adjust the alignment of the backing to the frame correctly before starting to hammer nails in and check with every 1-2 nails hammered in that alignment for the backing is remaining correct.

Final product is 4/5 visually, drawers, roomy, spacious, hold a good amount of clothing.
All the cons above downgrades the product + experience to 3/5.

Decent dresser, tedious assembly

Looks nice but not very sturdy. A piece of the dresser wood (cheap particle board) ripped off during assembly and had to be clamped and reattached with wood glue. I am just using it as a temp solution and don't intend on having it more than a year but if you are looking for something sturdy then this is not it.

It is the worst dresser of any furniture you need to build. It took  us 4 hours to put together and it was a night mare. One drawer doesnt open doesnt stay on the tracks.

Mainstays 3 drawer dresser

I wish I had respected the reviews the first time! My son has had the dresser for maybe a year, within the first couple of months, he noticed the bottom starting to buckle. We fixed it. Then he had a drawer less than half full with socks and underwear and it collapsed from the top down. This is a piece of trash and I wish I had never bought it. It is not worth the money and I wish I had purchased a different dresser! Save your money, save yourself the stress and buy something more sturdy.
