I have been using Maybelline Great Lash since 1971. I have sensitive eyes and washable is easy to remove. I need 2 coats of mascara most of the time but 1 is ok if rushed. 3 coats might not look as good but add a little extra to the tips if you have short lashes.

It's the Mrs. here to tell you about this wonderful product. I've been using this mascara since my teens, which was many years ago. I've tried to keep up with the latest makeup trends over the years, but haven't found a single mascara that holds my lashes in place all day like this one does. I always come back the next day and regret ever trying to change. I think my lashes speak for themselves. Buy this mascara, you won't regret it!

I've been buying this Mascara consistently since 2009!!!!! Literally 2009!! If Maybelline ever stops producing this, it would actually be the death of me. 
I've tried other mascaras before, and all mascaras typically do the job at the end of the day. However, this mascara transcends others on the market for MY desired look. The wand on the brush helps avoid clumping, in addition to the formula. I do have long lashes, but it helps gives me a bit of fullness. My last note, I also receive the nicest compliment on my lashes whenever I use this in comparison to other mascaras. Therefore, I will use this as long as it's available 🫶🏼✨

I prefer to use clear it's more natural and everyone thinks I have on false lashes. I don't allow my granddaughters to wear makeup so this Clear is PERFECT for them too!

The perfect way to look... Natural!

It goes on nicely without clumping. It just easily smears off. By the end of the day I have slight dark smudges under my eyes even if I've been careful not to touch or rub them during the day.

They changed the product! I use to be a fan for years but now I can barely see the difference when I'm wearing this mascara. The older brush was much better and it use to be super black. I don't like the change

The Mascara tube was completely empty! Not kidding.

and loved it for the first 24 of those years. Unfortunately, over the past year or so its quality has taken a nosedive. 

It use to actually be waterproof. It use to go on smoothly, rarely any clumping and 1-2 coats was all that was needed. Occasionally, it would get a little gummy after being exposed to tears or pool water, but it didn't come off or run. I'd just use an eyelash comb to separate the clumps and it'd be fixed. I could sleep in it and at worst I'd just have a little smudging under my eyes, but my lashes still looked great. 

Now, however the clumps are viable on the brush before it even goes on and somehow it's thick and thin at the same time. Some lashes end up with major clumps, while others are nearly bare. The problem is slightly reduced by using the brush from their Volum' Express Colossal mascara because it has longer, finer and evenly separated bristles. Using the brush that comes with Great Lash guarantees looking like you have tarantula legs for lashes. Not a bunch of legs either, like 4 or 5 super thick legs because your lashes end up clumped together in sections.

Now it gets crumbly by the end of the day and you're left with tiny bits of mascara all over your face and in your eyes. I wear contacts, so it's a genuine hazard if I rub my eyes at all while wearing this. Numerous times I've nearly had to pull over while driving because I've had bits of it randomly fall into my eyes without even touching my lashes. 

If your lashes get wet at all while wearing this it still doesn't run, though. Instead it all sloughs off in pieces of varying lengths, leaving your lashes completely bare by the they're dry. 

It's simply unusable now.
