We rented a home this winter that had this safe in it and decided to purchase one for our home.  Our order came in just a few days to our Walmart store.  We picked it up and are very happy with the safe itself, as well as the service that Walmart provided.

Bought this for a gift for my boyfriend who wanted a safe in the house for valuables. We definitely needed to use the included kit to bolt it down as it only weighs about 10 pounds and can be easily picked up. The keypad and key both work. Does not come with batteries but takes 4 AA's.

I keep my meds and other small items,my wallet ,keys to my car,anything small that you wouldn't won't your children getting or anyone else,it the perfect size.

Perfect for keeping medication in.

I purchased this to keep our meds in, since we have pre-teens coming and going. It holds everything and fits in a kitchen cabinet. We used the mounting holes to secure it in case of burglary.

Easy to install.  Easy to set code.  So far nobody has gotten inside so it does everything they say it should.

Sentry Safe

I purchased this safe for handgun storage. It operates very smoothly using the combination I set. The door locks securely and provides safe storage. I bolted the unit into the floor using the two lag bolts provided. The safe is a good value at this price point and I would recommend it. It is the perfect compact size for my needs. If you would like a compact, economically priced safe, you should consider purchasing this unit.

I purchased it on Walmarts website and had it delivered to the store near my home. Delivery was ahead of schedule and pick up was very convenient, I was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes.

Dimensions given were misleading: reflects the external size, but with a thick door, cuts down on internal space. Otherwise it's what I expected.

Safe

I really liked this product on inspection however, when we opend the safe for the first time it was evident that it was previously owned. The bags of hardware where not complete and a screw was floating loose in the safe. When we followed the instructions to open and reset the code numbers, the safe did not work and we had to pop the key cover off and open with the key.
We took the safe back to walmart and they credited my account. But I had to get back on line and order another safe due to the fact that they did not carry the same safe at the store.
Much to my enjoyment it was a good thing because we ordered a .7 cub ft model and I think we will like it better.

good value for the money

All seems fine, with the exception of the inside battery compartment.  The component wasn't glued or attached in any way, so I had to epoxy it in place.

After installing the safe to a wall, I discovered the safe would not lock.  No matter how many ways I tried, the safe would not lock.  I called Sentry customer service, and they were unable to figure out the problem.  They told me they thought the safe was a return that had been resent to me based on the fact that the safe was not locked when I received it.  Also, the packaging was a white box, not the packaging you see in the store.  I returned the safe to Walmart with no problem, and may order anther one just to see if it is a one time problem ( since I already have two holes in my wall, might as well order the same model.)

Safe that will not lock isn't very safe!
