Ratings & Reviews+

Mr. Bar-B-Q Propane Tank Gauge - 08778BYC is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simply Useless I bought this for my 20 lb propane barbecue tank thinking that I will now have a good idea my tank is almost full or close to empty When I refilled the tank I knew that I had it full by 80% but the gauge showed it just touching the orange or warning of low fuel. After using most of the tank it always stayed in the orange and just as I ran out the gauge no longer even moved and stayed in the red. I realize that these pressure gauges are not super accurate but I thought I would get at least a ball park guess on how high or low the fuel was but one does not even get that. I am returning it as either this gauge is defective or all of those pressure gauges act the same. The best way for an accurate reading is knowing that the empty tank weighs about 17lbs and an 80% full one about 33. So one can do the math but I thought there might be a handy constant verily accurate read out. However not the case.
