I really like this immersion blender. I have one that I have had for years and just bought another for the cottage. It works really well for blending soups, sauces and other such things and the measuring container is really handy. I can highly recommend this blender.

An Excellent Immersion Blender

My daughter wanted this for her birthday as her old one broke. We've had our Cuisinart Hand Blender for over 20 years and it's still working well. She's very happy with out this one works and is busy making homemade soups.

Works Super!

I bought it about a month ago and used it three times, but it's working very good and strong and I'm happy with it so far .

Good

I had a cheap brand of this product that I used for years to cream soups with. When it finally stopped working, I bought this one. Within 2 or 3 uses in my soups, the plastic melted in the hot soup and mishaped so much that the blades could no longer turn. I was unable to correct it, and it's now useless.

Melted! Now it won't work

oster.ca

Worked well, but like many other reviewers, the plastic mixing wand cracked and failed in soup. Is a metal wand available for purchase? Not interested in replacing it with a plastic one to fail again. Hate to toss in the dump as hardly very environmentally friendly to do so.

Worked - until mixing wand failed

[Employee of walmartcanada] A few months ago I bought the Oster Hand Blender. Now, after using it with cooking, the blender starts to melt, crack and break. Not durable to use it for hot soups or whatever hot meal you're preparing. Overall a poor item that would not recommend to other people.

Using it just for smoothies? Then it's perfect! ;)

Like many other reviewers, the beater attachment on mine has warped, cracked, melted and discoloured from blending soup --- with the stove off, and pot off the burner. The motor component still works so it is a shame to have to discard it simply because the beater attachment is such poor quality. The beater attachment also fills with the food/liquid and is impossible to clean out. It's a basic blender with a basic job -- but Oster has failed to make a blender that can withstand basic use.
Extremely disappointing quality. I do not recommend this.

Beater is very poor quality

I actually came on here to buy another attachment because mine melted and cracked. But I noticed all these people complain about the same thing. Unfortunately I won't be buying again. Unless costumer service will replace my attachment at no cost please don't respond to waste my time on a phone call.

Won't buy again.

I bought this item, I used it 4 times at most and even if I rinse for 5-10 minutes with great hot water, the water that comes out is always brownish or black!!! Extremely poorly designed and impossible to clean properly which makes it unusable!! - Oh, my God.

Impossible to clean!

Hi, I bought this product a year ago from Canadian tire, for the first month used we have smelled a bad odor comes from the cup, so I went back to the store and I exchanged it.
Form this date we rarely used, now I have found that the plastic blade head has warped and we cant use it any more.
My question is it covered by warranty or throw it at the garbage? Thanks

Poor quality product for great company OSTER
