Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice alternative to regular flour I was recruited to try this product for a reduced price and share my honest review. Prior to using this product, I was a bit hesitant, wondering how the end taste was going to be. I choose a recipe for chocolate chip cookies from the Robin Hood site. The gluten-free flour looked the same as regular flour and mixed up the same. The final result - the cookies were quite good. I did notice that they tasted a little different, but not in a bad way. Perhaps a very little bit more like a cake texture. I had someone else taste test the cookies and they didn't notice anything different. Be careful not to overbake though - I could see these cookies getting very hard if I left them in too long. I would definitely use Robin Hood Gluten-free Flour again. My only issue with it would be that the cost is high relative to regular flour. Anyone leading a gluten-free lifestyle would find this a wonderful and delicious option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative to gluten flour I have been cutting out gluten products due to negative GI symptoms. Until now it has been difficult to find an alternative that isn't gritty and dense. The addition of xanthan gum really makes a big difference in the 'fluffiness' of baked goods made with this flour, the one downside is that it does have a very mild, slightly detectable xantham gum aftertaste... but it doesn't bother me that much. I can't wait to try out this flour in all my baked good recipes!! [I was recruited to try this product for a reduced price and share my honest review]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for gluten-free baking needs, but spendy. As a baker, I have many types of flour I keep in my pantry for my various baking projects. I've had customers recently request gluten-free products, so I was eager to try Robin Hood gluten-free flour. While it does not perform nearly as well as a regular flour containing gluten does, the Robin Hood gluten-free flour gets the job done and has a decent flavor. However, the cost will probably keep me from adding this to my regular offerings and will only buy in future for the occasional special orders. The recipe was easy to follow, made a nice smooth batter, I put walnuts in mine and really like them. [I was recruited to try this product for a reduced price and share my honest review]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much Improved! Having tried the Robin Hood original Gluten Free flour I was very pleasantly surprised on how much better this new formulation is. There is no detectable aftertaste and the texture was nice and fine. I made apple crisp with it this time and am pleased with the results. I look forward to trying this in my Christmas baking.

I used it to thicken and extend the hollandaise sauce recipe for a large 25 person family dinner. A few of my family members are gluten-free so we use a gluten-free hollandaise sauce mix. It didn't form lumps when blended in and I didn't notice a difference in taste or texture.
