Ratings & Reviews+

Salton VitaPro Low Speed Juicer is rated 4.0667 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good product. Bought it about 2 weeks ago after trying and returning every juicer that the store had to offer. This is the most expensive one but worth every dollar. Slow juicing is the way to go, it will give you better results for sure. Don't make the same mistake I made by trying all (very loud and messy) high rpm juicers... just too bad that this is the only slow juicing option from Walmart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from what a great buy this was! I bought this on sale for $144 about three weeks ago and ive been very happy with it. My only concern is the motors strength and if it will break down in the near future because it does seem to really be working hard to get through the carrots and beets. I really recommend not pushing it too hard and cutting up veggies into very small pieces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Juicer I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this juicer. This is a mid-range priced juicer that produces pulpy juice with a very dry pulp extracted. I read complaints about the juice being too pulpy for people. Those people should stick with a centrifugal, not masticating juicer. Also, the fact it has pulp actually means there is more fibre (a downside to juicing is that the fibre is extracted from the vegetable/fruit). So for me, the pulpy juice is a good thing. You need to cut the pieces up small and don't put too much in at once. If you put too many non-juicy vegetables in at once it will jam, but this was easy for me to fix by opening the lid and moving things around a bit. I have juiced many types of greens, citrus, beets, carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, celery, cucumber, radishes, apples, pears, and other soft fruits. The only jam I had was with broccoli. The solution seemed to be switching between dryer and juicier produce. I.E. Couple pieces of broccoli followed by a tomato, etc. The unit is not that hard to clean if you run a glass of water through it after juicing, and then rinse immediately. Then I usually throw all pieces in a sink of hot water soapy until I get home from work. I then use the brush to clean the mesh basket but even that doesn't take much work. Definitely don't let it sit afterwards or I could see how the pieces could dry into the holes. One downside is I don't think it's dishwasher safe. Overall I really like this machine and am happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! I bought one for myself and one for my daughter this past weekend. We both Love it. Initially it seems hard to unlock to clean, but I think once you grow accustomed to it, it's much easier. The amount of juice which is extracted is incredible. I would agree with the lady who said to cut things up into smaller pieces, it works better and is probably easier on the machine. For the price, I think it's a great machine and I'm hoping I'll never have to see how good the 5 year warranty is!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent juicer! I did a lot of research before I bought this juicer and I am extremely happy with it! Among different juicer types the slow masticating ones are the best as they cause less heat and oxidation and squeeze out more juice with drier pulp than centrifugal juicers. Horizontal slow juicers are good but require more effort as each piece has to be pushed in. Vertical slow juicers like this one are much easier to use as they self feed, you just drop in the produce and it crunches away, the pusher is rarely needed mainly for greens that don't fall through the shaft completely. So my research showed the vertical slow juicers are among the best but most cost at least $350, then I saw this one for $148 (on sale from $198) with great reviews on multiple websites. Vertical slow juicers generally make pulpy juice (which is healthier) so if you want it thin just use a sieve under the spout. Some advice for best results: always juice hard produce after soft ones, this is the way all vertical slow juicers work best. Cleanup is quick and easy (to clean pulp in the ejection chute just pull the silicone tab out of its slot and the pulp will clear out under water).
