Decided to stay with Schumacher brand for the replacement of the battery maintainer on my motorcycle.  The first one lasted 17 years.  Plugged it in and back in business.  Better value than the "tender" brand and cheaper than the current Amazon price.

Purchased six of these to date. Easy to use and keeps my lawn tractor, scooter, garaged car and generator topped up when in storage or not in use for extended periods of time. Only problem I've had was with the clamps on the newer maintainers. On some battery terminals i get a buildup of corrosion from I believe dissimilar metals.  Switched to copper clamps and that seems to have solved that problem.

Battery Maintainer

There are great little chargers for maintaining batteries.  I have eight vehicles with 12V batteries.  Most have a Schumacher SC1355 keeping the battery charged and ready for service.  These small, efficient, automatic, affordable chargers have saved me hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars in ruined, sulfated, dead batteries.

the battery maintainer does excellent. After being shown how to place the grips, it does as mention. keeps battery charged and topped off. also, the maintainer 'trickles' a charge once the battery is fully charged when the onboard computer system constantly puts a drain on the battery.  Green light means charged and maintaining /trickling.  Thank goodness for having a garage. Otherwise, would get wet. I do not know if it is waterproof for those without a garage?
