I think I got this in my local store for only $14 around Easter last year. Not sure I'd have wanted to pay $20. That aside, I LOVE this thing. It plays the sound (we like the nature over the lullaby) for much longer than any of her other soothers. It is quiet, but still loud enough in the dead quiet of night. The light will not work hardly at all in the DAY. But at night, when the room is very dark, it works GREAT! It's a waste to use it if the sun is still out. That is a given. We use it at bedtime and the images are all very clear, and ours stands up, even on carpet. It's on the floor nest to her crib, and shines on the ceiling right above her crib. The sounds are very soothing. I was taking a bubble bath one night and was relaxed just from listening to it over the baby monitor and didn't realize until it timed out how soothing it was. Another great thing about it is that we've had it since Easter, and I've never had to change the batteries.

Sleep maker

My stepmom had to gotten this for my daughter who is now 18 months old and she loves this toy. Everynight I turn the music on for her (sometimes I turn on the light show for her to) and she's passed out within 15 mins. I love this toy, and the best part about it is when she gets up in the middle of the night which she still does she turns it on and goes right back to sleep. The only little problem is she won't sleepover grandmom's house without it...lol

The best baby shower gift I 've gotten!!!!

I bought this item thinking my daughter would love it, and she does love it most of the time. The music keeps her occupied and she loves looking at the face of it. Also the pictures that shine were very clever as they grow with baby's development. However, the pictures that shine are very hard to see. Unless I had her crib high enough to touch the ceiling, I don't think she will be able to see them. I think there should have been some kind of attachment to connec t to a crib or something too. It's kind of awkward figuring out where to put it without baby knocking it over.

So-So

THE PRODUCT IS GOOD FOR THE PRICE BUT IT COULD BE BETTER; THERE'S NO WAY TO TURN UP OR DOWN ON THE VOLUME. THE ROOM HAS TO BE COMPLETELY DARK IN ORDER FOR YOU TO SEE THE CHARACTERS ON THE WALL OR CEILING. I'M A HUGE FISHER-PRICE BUYER BUT THIS ONE WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING TO ME.

ITS AN OKAY PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son received this as a gift last Christmas (he was 3 months old). It didn't soothe him much back then but he was real difficult to soothe any way. Now that he's older, he does get a kick out of it. The only thing is that I'd like to display the images on the wall because they're too fuzzy on the ceiling, but the projector doesn't swivel enough to be able to project it onto the wall. Other than that, it's cute.

Could be better

I got this as a gift a couple of days ago and I tried it out. I was a little disappointed because the pictures were blurry and I figured they would go with the music and they don't. Also each little card has about 4 or 5 tiny pictures on it and it's really not very much to look at. The pictures don't travel across the ceiling they just go in and out. The only reason I'm keeping it is because it would probably work if I was just going to a friends house and they needed to nap I could turn it on.

It's ok.

Unfortunately this was not what I expected. The lights are barely visible that having it standing isn't even an option. The only way we can even see the lights is if we lay of flat in my daughters crib and point it at the back wall next to her head. But she crawls while she sleeps and ends up waking up to play with it so this really defeats the purpose of soothing her to sleep. Also the sound control only has two options which are both very very low. I was a little disappointed. And to be honest she doesn't seem to love it all that much anyway. Ah well lesson learned. I will not be purchasing this again or recommend to anyone.

Not what I expected

I purchased this toy expecting a show. Its a still picture with colors constantly changing. My 10month didnt want to be bother by it either. plus u can hardly see the pictures on the ceiling unless you stack it up high only then the pic became smaller. If you store it on a smaller shelf, the picture becomes blurry.

Disappointment

I like that there are so many options for music or white noise. For music, there is a longer pause than most which causes my daughter to get fussy. The light needs to be brighter, it is really hard to see on the ceiling and I don't think that my daughter has yet to notice it on the ceiling.
