this is a great home safe........plenty of room for important documents. i am so glad i bought it. we live up in tx. panhandle. i was so concerned about the fires. now i do not not worry. everything is in the safe.  am very happy that i bought it. in fact i may buy another one.

very nice safe that isn't too heavy. obviously haven't tested against fire, and hope I never will, but it's a great place to store documents in hanging folders. I even keep a spare hard drive in here in case one dies in any of my computers, and needs a quick replacement.

I was researching safety deposit boxes, and then a  began to come. I stopped, and began researching Lock Boxes and safes. I settled on this because, of the fire, and water resistance. I do have papers that need to be protected.

The walls of this safe/box are VERY thick making the internal size slightly smaller that a file folder so if you plan to use it to store important documents, be prepared to bend/fold/curve them. if keeping documents flat or uncurved/folded you may want to size up. otherwise this is a great safe box.

This is a great product with one exception. It would be nice to have some type of handle on the top or sides for easy pick up. Since it does not have any handles, it is difficult to lift and move or take with you if it was necessary to do so.  Otherwise, it is a great product. Would have given it 5 stars had it had handles.

Very good product.

plastic latch seems VERY cheap, but if nobody ever tries to open it without a key it should suffice. in retrospect should've gotten a better one, but i made price too much a factor. surprised it says not to store a gun in it (i can understand not storing ammo, since a fire lasting very long would probably set it off, but the gun itself?)

Terrible quality safe. After a few weeks of very light use in my home office the rubber sealing gasket fell off the lid and will not go back on such that the lid will close. My only option is to use it without the gasket which I assume impacts the ability to resist fire and water. The lid is also cracked and leaking fireproofing material into the safe all over my documents.

Don' waste your breathe on this junk. 

instead, make a wish ... a company would actually make something worth more than a penny and stop wastting our time and money with junk useless  product waste of hope and wishes that never come true. what a waste of ideas .

Cardboard box is better

Purchasing process was excellent, product performance disappointing.  I have an old Sentry Safe that is much easier to use (unless you lose your key!!!)  My key was locked in that safe, but I received a new key via e-mail order and will be using that safe in the future.  The new one is in the process of being returned due to malfunction of the open/close process,  Quite disappointing and difficult to return (it IS very heavy!}

Disappointing

Appeared to have sustained damage from the warehouse.The whole top of the lid was separated and busted up. the whole unit was scuffed All up itself as it fell down a bunch of cement steps. My experience aside, this company does make satisfactory budget lock safes
