I am very pleased by this headboard, everything was in good shape, is taking a little time to set it up, just read the instructions. My husband did all the work, from carrying from the door upstairs, to set it up. I also bought a metal frame to have storage underneath. The headboard shelf is decorative, for small items.

I'm very please with my purchase from walmart. The same bed as wayfair at a lower price. It was delivered on time and very easy to put together.  it took me about 45 mins for the bed and 20 for the headboard.  Did it by myself.  Just order the matress,  I know I won't be disappointed.  I recommend   this product..

Headboard is very nice. It has the contemporary style that I like. It contained a lot of pieces and lots of hardware but if you read and follow the directions carefully anyone can put it together. It's very heavy so it's a two person job to set it up. The shelf is not very deep but you can clearly see that from the picture. They have votive candles displayed on the shelf. It is not much deeper than the width of a cell phone. My only complaint is that it didn't come with the necessary bolts to attach it to the metal bed frame. That meant a trip to the harware store. Other than that it is study, stylish, and easy to assemble. A great buy for the price.

I opened the box and my first reaction was, "what did I just purchase?" because the headboard is made of particle board with a laminate black finish. but after assembling the headboard, I realized that this was sturdy and looked great also it did the job. My overall thought was that this is a great value for the price point. Very happy with this purchase, also the shipping was exceptionally fast.

This would work great on a platform bed, but with a metal frame it doesn't touch the floor and is entirely supported by the 4 bolts at the end of the frame. due to the location of the mounting holes. Easy to assemble with good directions. As long as you check that all parts are there and have a little patience, you should have no problem.
I chose to reinforce the frame attachment points and sides with wood strips, glue and screws. I'm glad I did, but it still "wobbles" a bit and a good push would probably crack the mounting points. Looks good though and for the price I'm fairly satisfied.

Not Great, But Good

The bed was terrible. There were tons of broken parts. Dented pieces. Scratched wood. Confusing instructions

Sorry to say this was very cheaply made. Screws wouldnt go into the wood without stipping and then splintered and cracked ea piece. Returned..

The Left side piece hole was not cut deep enough (a Manafacter defect) so the screw lock doesn't fit the hole which means the left piece that attaches to the top piece will not lock together. But if this issue had not occurred I would have loved my purchase.

Shoppers beware. This headboard is very fragile and will not hold unless you plan to back it to a wall. Very cheap wood and chips easily. Not worth buying.
