great but . . .
i love the headbord and it was pretty easy to put together, however it doesnt tell you you need the platform bedframe. i was disapointed when i realized i couldnt attatch it to my bedframe. maybe they should be a little more clear online as to which bedframes you need to attach it too from here on out.

Looks more expensive than it is
The look of the headboard is great! It took about an hour to put it together, it is very much like the Swedish furniture assembly process and the particle board is heavy. It looks very nice and more expensive than the price paid once assembled. I haven't attached it to my bed frame yet, so I don't know how compatible the headboard is to my frame, but even if it needs a few minor modifications, that will be well worth the $99 price tag.

Excited to see.... Knew it had to be assemble .. NO PROBLEM... For the price I was willing to put some sweat into it...
Open package and the FIRST THING I SAW WAS THE LARGE CRACK IN THE FRONT OF THE HEADBOARD! To be honest if it was anywhere else I would of try to make do... My father always told me "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR " and BOY... RIGHT AGAIN!!

cheap material-pieces don't allign
This product looks better on the picture then in
real life. ..it has to be assembled which could take hours...pieces did not allign properly, the headboard has a slight gap on the sides where the main board is fitted into the frame. Don't recommend this product-it only attaches to beds with platform frame-too bad that was not mentioned before purchase!

You Get What You Pay For
I, like many people who have reviewed this headboard, didn't realize it was made for a platform bed when I purchased it. It is. That said, you can certainly attach it to a standard bedframe if you purchase the right hardware and have the right tools.
My fiancé and I put this together and it took about an hour. You definitely need two people. Once we were on the home stretch, we realized it did not look right. The top piece was not flush. We took some measurements and found that the two vertical pieces (the "legs") were not cut to the same height. Fortunately for us, we also have a table saw and were able to get the legs adjusted.
After some finagling of the headboard and a standard bedframe, we were able to get the headboard on the bed. It is not sturdy at all. To adjust for that, I added a throw pillow between the headboard and the wall. That seems to do the trick pretty nicely. The plus of having to drill your own holes to attach it to a standard bedframe is that you can make the headboard as tall as you want it. That was a plus for me, as I have my bed on risers.
It looks great. I love that my pillows are not falling behind my bed anymore. I wanted something inexpensive because I anticipate buying a larger bed in the near future. Therefore, I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a headboard now.
So, all in all, this product meets my expectations. I knew I wasn't buying a super nice piece of furniture and it suits my present needs perfectly.

Product arrived in the allotted time, but when everything was laid out to start to put it together we found that one of the headboard leg pieces did not have all the holes drilled. Called the company, South Shore, they were polite and are in the process of sending me a new one. I was upset that I was not able to have the bed set up for my visitors and I am still waiting for the leg to arrive.
It has been shipped. Don't order if you are in a hurry and can't wait if there is an error.
