Ratings & Reviews+

Sportline SX - UNIVERSAL COMBO ECG HEART RATE MONITOR is rated 3.75 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought it and I love it. I use it for two different purposes. One for mostly strength based exercises in which I want to keep my heart-rate between 145-155 and for pure cardio like running in which I like to keep my heart-rate between 160-170. It's near real-time there is a three second delay between the current heart-rate and the actual display. But, it's good because it tells you when your heart-rate gets out of the target zone. There are so many features in it that I haven't even looked into yet. I was primarily interested in knowing my heart-rate because my lungs are good but my heart-rate seems to spike too fast when I workout and I want to work in the my comfort zone and not get exhausted. I do burpees and ab exercises with the chest belt on and I have no issues. For 70 bucks it's a great buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Complicated manual & weak beeper I've had this heart monitor for one month. Works great once you figure out the complicated manual. Chest strap/watch work together nicely but I have had some times the watch did not register using the chest strap, not sure yet if it's wifi interference or the watch was too far away on my bike handlebars. The beeper for above, and below signal is very very weak, so unless it's totally quiet you'll never hear it. It's not a deal breaker but a louder beep would be nice. Both the battery in the watch and chest strap are replaceable by yourself. For the price it's ok, just don't think this combo is Polar quality and totally waterproof. For that you pay more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money I bought this in 2012 in february, but I've had it since and it still works perfectly. I stopped using it after my last year of high school since I got out of shape but now that I'm getting into fitness again, it's important to own a heart rate monitor. This one works fine, and I don't use the strap as much but when I did, it worked perfectly as well. 5 stars! :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Try Before You Buy Try the unit on to ensure all features are working before purchasing.. The chest strap transmitter and the watch's powersaver mode did not work on the monitor I bought, or on the two monitors that were in stock when I tried to exchange the original. The touch feature worked well for on-demand readings, but I purchased this monitor for the continuous HR reading the chest strap should have provided.
