Steve Miller Band was formed in San Francisco in 1967. After performing locally with good success, the band released their debut album "Children Of The Future". Unfortunately the record was far from being a commercial success but the band undaunted by the lack of recognition wisely decided to forge on with their second release. "Sailor" was released in 1969 and almost immediately climbed the Billboard album charts to the #24 position. The 70's were vintage years for the band, and this decade produced hit after hit. Steve Miller Band songs dotted the charts on a regular bases with such classic rock tracks as "The Joker", "Take The Money and Run", Rock'n Me", "Fly Like An Eagle", "Jet Airliner", and many more! Some of these tracks reached the #1 position in the single charts around the world, and needless to say there was multi-platinum sales involved! Released in 1978, "The Steve Miller Band's Greatest Hits 1974-1978" has sold over 13 million copies to date, and demonstrates the bands never ending popularity. Steve Miller Band tracks remain a staple of classic rock radio around the world, and Miller continues to perform successful sold-out concert performances. This DVD, recorded in 1991 is a testament to how Miller is still "Rock'n"!
