Tetra Bubbling Half Moon Aquarium LED Kit, 3 gal

After all my late Betta Elenor decided to dive to his death (some Bettas are known for jumping out of their tank during mating season). I took it upon me to invest in a more secure lidded tank. This is the first tank I've bought before. Let me tell you from my research it is extremely affordable for a 3 gallon tank and it gives the basics like filter, filter cartridge, air pump, tubing, ect. Stuff I wouldn't know what heck I would need to be buying relative to tank or fish, so that's extremely helpful. 
It's not a noisy tank but it certainly emits a slight buzz. I got used to it, really not distracting. Make sure you weigh down the airstone with some rocks so it won't float. My fish (Nebula) seems to be beaming with energy swims around like a madhatter. I also think he grew a little bit bigger because of more room in his tank. Possibly one of the best perks of all I can leave it in more accessible places because it's way too heavy for my cats to knock over. Kind of cute when I watch my cats hugging the tank thinking that's the way to get at him. 
There were some things that were not included so I purchased on the side with the tank arriving:
- Assorted fish foods
- Water conditioner
- Pebbles/rocks
- Aquarium plants
- Habitat/shelter
- Heater
- Thermometer

It's pretty neat. I have only one gripe, and it's the led circle pad that just doesn't like to stay put no matter what you do to it.:C But I like that it offers enough variety that you can modify it and even add a heater, etc.

Awesome!

Looks nice and has enough maneuvering room for 2 small fan tails plus a couple of silk plants and living float. A healthy tank requires weekly maintenance, this 3 gallon tank will be easy to look after.

Looking good

It's tall and the shape makes it feel big. The air pump is perfect, the filter kinda sucks but it has been 2 weeks now. The air stone and lights are cool, I really like that you can unplug the lights and still have the bubbles. It's a pain in the bum to get it to stay down haha. I would suggest you start with it and then add all the other decor like plants before water. And don't accidentally pull on either cord because it will stand up, it still works but the lights are rather blinding 🤣 
The lid is also a pain to get back on, once on it is great and nice to peak in, and the easy feeding hole! But be careful where you put your cords because that stone is going to move every darn time! Haha
My mystery snail is a very happy snail, and has grown a lot since moving to his new home.

Best bang for your buck

My daughter got this for her 7th birthday. It looks so beautiful with some added fake plants and rainbow rocks. The light and bubbles look so colorful. Both my gaughter and the beta are loving it. Only tip I have is to buy extra rocks, it takes a lot to stop the light from floating up

Happy little girl, happy little fish

This is a great small aquarium for a desk top and office environment. It is compact and extremely quiet. The filter is ok, but I only have one goldfish and have had to change the filter twice a month. Buyers need to understand that like with most small tanks, this tank took almost 5 weeks and daily partial water changes to finally cycle and balance safely. Great tank for a couple of fish, if you want more fish then go with a bigger tank. I love it and it works prefect for me.

I think is a nice aquarium, I bought it for my daughter, she loves it, it work good up to now (2 weeks). My only complain is the lid, it fits well but it does not have hinges, it does not locks when it is closed and when a kid tries to handle it very easily can drop it inside the aquarium.

Nice aquarium

Nice little 3 gallon tank for my little betta fella. The only issue I have with it is I was under the impression from the description that the light included was much more substantial than it actually is. I need to buy a separate light for it. Otherwise it's a nice tank and my little guy enjoys it.

Cheap plastic- the led light/bubbler constantly floats to the top- the air hose and power cable can't be managed and look ugly twisted and floating. No matter how much your kid begs that they want this “cool” one buy a glass tank and a cheap LED stick-on strip and from dollarama with remote control and stick it to the underside of the tank lid. Flimsy construction made solely for people who want buying a fish to be “exciting” - does not end up looking like the pictures and you will have a tangle of cords and tubes.
