Montreal alt, folk-pop quintet, The Franklin Electric has been on a winning streak. Back in 2012, they claimed first prize in a Nashville-based songwriting competition for their track, "Old Piano" that in turn, lead the band heading into the studio to produce their debut album, "This Is How I Let You Down." The first place finish continued when Australian company Genero.TV awarded the group top honours in their video campaign search and The Franklin Electric's title-track received an intense, slow burning, cinematic treatment, filmed in Melbourne and directed by Julian Lucas, and Jarred Osborn. The same duo then came aboard to make the video for the next album track "Unsatisfied." Group front man Jon Matte produced this album alongside award winning engineer Rob Heaney. The record was mixed by Grammy winner Chris Shaw. Matte is a graduate of the music program at Vanier College, and earned early production stars with artists like Patrick Watson, Bran Van 3000.
