Rated 5 out of 5 by Apartment dweller from Great for apartmentI bought this because I live in an apartment where I can't put holes in the walls and the blinds that were there didn't block light. Got this and put up black out blinds. Works great with light weight blinds and went up in seconds!

We found this and ordered it - our windows have a wide width (sorry I didn't measure them) and I was happy to discover this rod expands to a rather long length. And looks amazing! Keep in mind you may need two people to put this up, once I put the curtain panels on it was too heavy to do it myself. But it's a simple thing - just have one person brace the bracket against the window frame while you brace your side and turn to tighten it against the frame. I tested once I had tightened it to my liking (it has stickers to show which way to turn - easy to follow instructions) it a little and it didn't budge at all. It does come with an extra hook to put into the wall should you find you have heavier curtains so that is a bonus. We just got two panels (faux suede mainstay brand) so they aren't that heavy. It looks amazing and goes well in our living room. If I had a bracket for the other two rooms I would have bought another set, unfortunately this rod requires that you are able to brace it on both sides of the wall not just one. All in all I love this. We could only buy one at the time as it was sold out online but they restocked pretty fast so I got a second one for my other living room window and it's great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ArtieF from GarbageI could not get enough tension on the rod to support itself without any drapery let alone any installation. Also the rods and fittings are of a very cheap quality. Even dollar store hardware is more solid. I was surprised by this fact because I thought Walmart was clever about keeping prices low while still selling quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lulu6 from Nothing else like it!These are perfect for rented apartments or seasonal curtains without the ugly shower tension rod look. Mine were bought to go on the outside of my patio door to keep out summer sun heat. The other is going in the bedroom to block the summer sun at 4am. I purchased 2 online after giving my email to be notified when they were back in stock. No stores have them either so maybe they are discontinued though I have no idea why these wouldn't sell big!
