Zoomer Dino is rated 4.2396 out of 5 by 455.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a entertaining toy for boys Zoomer is a dinosaure that has a huge personality it responds to your hand movement by an opitcal sensor .You can charged through your usb and it also requires batteries. It took about an hour to fully charge him for about 40 minutes of playtime. My son (9yrs old) loves that he roars burps, farts, sniffs, sneezes, growls, makes funny noises, just like him.Its really intersing how his eye changes color to show you his mood :green means he's happy, yellow he's caution about something and blue that he enjoying playing with you.He even gets angry, his eyes become red if you push or pull tail. He turns around, goes foward backward and even falls down and gets up on his own.You can also control by with his remote controller.so whenever he gets bored playing with him he controlls him,by chasing his brothers just like a remote control car. To really appreciate all the possiblites this toy offers you have to read the manual. Its a really great toy for boys that its not a video game. He likes to pretend that its a real dinosaur and enjoys training, playing and exploring with him just like a real pet. I was really happy to see that he can still play with a toy that its not video game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't work right, but still fun to play with I was disappointed in this thing at first because I could not get it to balance on its own. The instructions clearly say what button to push to get the dinosaur to stand, but mine will not. (Instead it goes flying backwards at top speed and crashes into things.) This makes me think that the toy I got was defective and if I had purchased it myself, I would exchange it for another one. However, I can get it to balance by standing it up myself, and then this thing is pretty cool. The motions are very lifelike, it really does feel like there is a baby dino rolling around, and it can roll from the floor to the carpet without any problem. It's quite incredible. The toy is a bit hard to control, but after some practice I was able to tell it where to go. Smaller hands might have an even harder time with this, as the controller is quite thick. But my favourite setting was just watching it roll around and do its own thing anyway. My dinosaur tends to fall over a lot, and I noticed that some of the white paint was wearing off of its chin because of this. Aside from that, it has held up well considering all the crashes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toy! My daughter loves dinosaurs, so naturally I was sure that this was a great toy for her. Note that it's for ages 5+ as per the box. She also loves dogs, but we decided to try a dinosaur over the zoomer puppy. What you get in the box : Boomer the dinosaur, remote control, USB cable to recharge it and instruction leaflet. Features : Boomer can sniff, dance, sit, run, follow your gentle hand movements, pass gas, belch, roar, spin, move in any direction and chomp! His eyes change different colours to show his mood/status: Green = happy, Red = angry, Blue = curious, Purple = waiting for your gestures, Yellow = remote control mode, Orange = battery low. The remote control allows you to control the movements or you can let Boomer run wild on his own! One hour of recharge gives Boomer about 20 minutes of play time. The remote uses 3 AAA batteries which are not included. Play: My daughter absolutely loves Boomer! She could watch and play with him for hours. The only problem is that he loses charge after about 20 minutes. I think this could be a good and bad thing because she won't get tired of it from playing with him constantly, has to wait for it to recharge, and learn some patience for an hour to play with it again. If she is in tantrum mode or in a bad mood, she has no choice but to wait to recharge for 1 hour as Boomer has a built-in special "LiPo" battery which can't be removed. My nieces aged 8 and 12 also love coming over to play with Boomer. He's definitely a different kind of toy/pet and you can be get to do tricks like sitting and waving your hand in front of his face. We are all amazed how well he balances himself on those two wheels on all surfaces, including low pile carpet, tile and hardwood. I was worried he wouldn't wheel around easily as some remote control cars struggle on carpet, but he worked fine on low pile carpet. The higher pile carpet like small rugs, he obviously struggles, falls or slides on. On rare occasions, Boomer sometimes ends up upside down if he hits something, and you have to help him up, but usually he is good without your assistance! If he's sitting, you can get him to stand up and vice versa. He has a button on his back which you can use to wake him up (he falls asleep after a few minutes of no interaction). His eyes change colours according to his mood and also his battery state to let you know he'll need a recharge soon. The remote seems very challenging to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's not bad. There is a chomp button, run button, fury button (makes Boomer angry by doing spins and screaming for about 5 seconds), and a directional pad all on the remote. The remote seems responsive once you get the hang of it and the range is about 6 feet at most. Overall, Boomer is an excellent toy that little Dino lovers will very much enjoy. He'll keep them busy for hours, and I see my daughter playing with this everyday unlike her other toys. That says a lot. The only improvement needed perhaps is the battery life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Mini Sized T-Rex 1) Packaging could be better. 2) For the cost, AAA batteries could have been provided 3) All warning information/labels, instructions, etc were adequate. 4) The construction of the dino is plastic, but it is of good quality. Therefore, it is not hard to break. 5) Having the command mode on the back of the T-Rex could have been on the remote itself, for easier access. 6) The T-Rex could get annoying at times where it does things on its own, especially the noises it makes. 7) The IR sensors could be more accurate. Overall, I'd say this is an average product. Would I pay full price? No.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A toy for both kids and adults! I got this toy for my 6 years old son who love dinosaurs and as expected, it became his new favorite toy. The technology of the toy is amusing, looks and sounds very realistic. Love the idea how it allows the kids to "train" the Dino, my son spent lots of time playing around with it, and now even I wanted to play with it myself....hahahaha....I would highly recommend this toy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrible packaging. I was very happy with the product. But the box had written "ZOOMER DINO" in giant blue block letters on the outside of the package. My son, whom the Christmas present was for, was standing right beside me when I accepted delivery. You can imagine his surprise was ruined.
