3 Top Sirloin Steak 8 oz, about 1-in. thick, at room temperature
2 tsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic Powder
0.5 tsp Cumin
0.5 tsp Salt
0.12 tsp Cayenne pepper (1/8 tsp)


  1. Preheat barbecue to medium-high.
  2. Coat steak with oil. Combine garlic powder with cumin, salt and cayenne in a small bowl. Rub garlic mixture over both sides of steak.
  3. Oil grill. Barbecue steak, with lid closed, 3 to 5 min per side for medium-rare.
  4. When steak is done, let stand 5 min on a cutting board, then thinly slice across the grain.
  5. Transfer to a platter along with any juices.
