You can access your Walmart Pharmacy online account through the Walmart Pharmacy mobile app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store. Your Walmart Pharmacy online account can also be accessed online using an internet browser (such as Safari, Chrome. or Firefox) on any other device. Both the website and mobile application will work on any mobile, tablet, or laptop.
Walmart's online pharmacy account gives you access to many features allowing you to manage your prescriptions from the comfort of your home. Your secured account will let you:
- Order new prescriptions.
- Get notified when your prescriptions are ready for a refill or pick up.
- Request refills for prescriptions that are due.
- View your prescription history.
You can link your online account to a Walmart Pharmacy of your choice by using any of the following options:
1: For existing Walmart Pharmacy patients:
a. Prescription linking- you can link your account remotely even without the need of visiting your Walmart Pharmacy. All you need is at least one prescription number (filled in the last year) from the Walmart Pharmacy you wish to link your account with.
b. Access code from a Walmart Pharmacy- visit your Walmart Pharmacy and request a profile linking code. Scan or enter the code into your profile to link.
c. Provide your profile code to your Walmart Pharmacy – visit your Walmart Pharmacy and provide the pharmacy associate with your profile code. The pharmacy associate can link your existing pharmacy account to your online profile.
2. New pharmacy patients:
a. Pharmacy search – you can send a request from your online profile to any Walmart Pharmacy to create a brand-new pharmacy profile. Once the pharmacy has reviewed your information, you can request transfer-ins and submit new prescriptions online.
Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of security for accessing your Walmart Pharmacy online account. In addition to providing your chosen password upon login, a one-time code will be sent to your mobile phone number which you can use to complete your login. The code will remain active for 30 minutes. If the code expires, please restart your login attempt and a new code will be sent to you.
You can delete your account online by selecting the 'Delete Account' option within your Walmart.ca app or by calling 1-800-328-0402.
Walmart Pharmacy accepts all new prescriptions where provincial regulations permits. Currently, you can request to fill new prescriptions online from Walmart Pharmacies in the following provinces:
Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Yukon, and Northwest Territories.
Regulations in the province of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Newfoundland does not permit to upload new prescription via app or web.
In your Walmart Pharmacy online account, select the "Submit new Rx" option and upload the photo of your prescription. This newly uploaded prescription, after being reviewed by our pharmacist, will be added to the account. At the time of prescription pick up, the pharmacy will be required to collect the original prescription before releasing the medication. This feature may vary based on the provincial guidelines as to where your pharmacy is located.
There are several ways to request a refill in your Walmart Pharmacy online account:
1. By scanning the QR code on the prescription label (for app only)
2. By entering the prescription number
3. By adding the archived prescription to your order from your online prescription record.
Once the prescription order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation. If you have opted for a pick-up notification, you will also receive an email and/or text message when your prescription is ready to be picked up from the Walmart Pharmacy store.
When you checkout your order cart, you will be asked to choose a pickup date and time. The pharmacy will prepare your order according to your desired pickup date and time. We recommend opting-in for pickup notifications as you will be able to receive an email, text message, or push notification when your order is ready to be picked up. The prescription pickup time may vary based on product availability. For further information call your Walmart pharmacy.
You will need a Walmart Pharmacy online account if you wish to request for prescription refills online. However, without the online account, you can still request it through walk-ins or by directly calling a Walmart Pharmacy.
Payment for your prescription can be made upon pick up at your Walmart Pharmacy.
You may not be able to order a refill of your prescription online if your prescription is not yet due for a refill or if your prescription doesn't have any refills left. In most cases, you can request a refill once you are within 5 days of running out of medication from your current prescription. Please contact your Walmart Pharmacy directly or call customer service at 1-800-328-0402 to cancel or edit the order once submitted.
If a prescription is out of refills, you may request a renewal for an eligible prescription through your Walmart Pharmacy online account by pressing “Request Renewal” under the prescription. Once the pharmacy has received the request, the pharmacy will review your request and based on the pharmacist’s scope of practice, may renew your prescription or contact your healthcare provider on your behalf. If the request for renewal cannot be fulfilled, our pharmacy will contact you.
Yes. You can request for prescription transfers from another pharmacy to your preferred Walmart Pharmacy by selecting the “Transfer Prescription” tab and entering the information requested. Before requesting a transfer online, you must link your online account to your preferred Walmart Pharmacy to which you want to transfer the prescriptions to. You will receive a notification on your selected form of communication about the submission of the prescription transfer request. Once your Walmart Pharmacy receives your request, they will contact the pharmacy from where you want your prescriptions transferred. Please note that not all prescriptions can be transferred. You can speak with your Walmart pharmacist for further assistance.
With the dependent's consent, you can access and link another person’s (i.e., dependent) profile in your Walmart Pharmacy online account in two ways: 1) If the dependent already has a Walmart Pharmacy online account, you can request access to their online account by sharing your profile code with the dependent who can enter the same code in their profile to complete the linking. Once linking is complete you can now access your dependent’s profile on the Walmart pharmacy online account. 2) If the dependent does not have a Walmart Pharmacy online account but has a profile at Walmart pharmacy, you can create a new profile in your Walmart Pharmacy online account for them and then link their profile to their Walmart Pharmacy. This service is not available through the Walmart pharmacy online account. However, your Walmart pharmacy may offer home delivery. Speak with a member of your pharmacy team for more details.
You can link to multiple Walmart Pharmacies in your Walmart Pharmacy online account by going to your profile and pressing “Link to a new pharmacy" and following the same steps for linking your Walmart pharmacy online account to your Walmart pharmacy.
You can manage your overall notification settings within your Walmart Pharmacy online account by going to Settings > Notifications. In this menu, you can customize your communication channels (ie. emails, text, push notifications) and also choose what types of notifications (ie. items ready, refills) you wish to receive from each pharmacy you have linked to. Additionally, you can customize which prescription you would like to receive refill reminders for, by pressing the "bell" symbol in each prescription.
All existing Walmart Pharmacy patients are eligible to enroll in the Prescription Text Reminder program. Currently, we offer pickup notifications and refill reminders. Please speak to your local Walmart Pharmacy associate and provide your mobile number to request enrollment and take advantage of one or both of our text notification offerings today.
Pickup notifications are sent once your prescription is ready. If your prescription has not been picked up, we will send a reminder text 2 days and 7 days after the prescription is ready for pickup. Refill reminders are sent 5 days prior to your prescription due date as per our pharmacy record.
If you would like to stop receiving prescription text reminders, you may: 1. Reply "STOP" to your last prescription text reminder to opt-out. 2. Call your Walmart Pharmacy and ask to opt-out. 3. Visit your Walmart Pharmacy and ask to opt-out.
