A good rule of thumb is to choose an envelope that is at least ¼ inch wider and ½ inch longer than the contents you're mailing. Most online stores have size charts to help you visualize what fits.

Self-seal envelopes have a strip of strong, pressure-sensitive adhesive protected by a removable liner. To seal it, you just peel off the liner and press the flap down (no licking or moisture is required). This is a popular, clean, and convenient option for both office and home use.

Write the recipient's address in the center of the envelope clearly, including name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, and country if international. Don't forget to add your return address in the top left corner.
