1. Visit registry on walmart.ca or open the Walmart Canada App (iOS & Android).

2. Click "Create a Registry" and select "Baby Registry" or "Wedding Registry".

3. Sign in with your Walmart Canada account (or create a free account if you don't have one).

4. Enter key event details: Expected due date (Baby) or wedding date (Wedding), preferences, and delivery address.

5. Review and confirm — you're done! (approximately 5–10 minutes)

Do I need an account to create a registry?

Yes, you'll need a Walmart Canada account to create and manage a registry. This allows you to add items, update settings, and track gifts over time.

Can I add a co-owner to my registry?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can add a co-owner to your registry so both of you can manage it together—adding items, making updates, and sharing the registry with guests.

Is our registry public or can we keep it private?

Accepted Answer

You choose! Your registry can be public (anyone can find it) or private (only people with your link can access it). You can change this anytime in your settings.

What items are eligible to be added to my registry?

All items on our site can be added to your registry, including products sold directly by Walmart.ca and items offered through our trusted seller partners.

How do I know a gift has been purchased?

As the registrant, you can check which gifts have been purchased for you on your registry page.

1. Once the gift has been shipped, we’ll send you the tracking details.

2. After the item has been delivered, we’ll share the gift message & who purchased it for you. We’ll also include a gift receipt for returns*.

How do I qualify for a Baby Registry Welcome Gift?

1.	Open a baby registry and add 20 or more unique eligible baby items including baby apparel, baby bedding, and infant toys to your registry

2.	Spend $25 or more (before taxes and fees) on eligible baby items from your registry (this can be you or someone you've invited)

3.	Opt-in to receive personalized marketing emails from Walmart

4.	Once your registry hits $25 in eligible purchases, you’ll receive an email with a redemption code. On Walmart.ca, select 1 of 3 welcome gift options and checkout using the redemption code

Registrants are limited to one welcome gift while supplies last. The Welcome Gift options are subject to change.

Gift givers can access a registry in two ways:

If the registrant shares a direct link via email, text, social media, or any other channel, gift givers simply click the link to view the registry immediately.

If the registrant has set their registry to Public or Searchable, gift givers can:

1) Visit registry on walmart.ca or open the Walmart Canada App.

2) Click Find a Registry .

3) Search by the registrant's first name, last name, and province.

4) Click the registry to view all items.

Do I need an account to purchase a gift online?

Yes, a Walmart.ca account is required to complete a purchase online.

Can I shop the registry on mobile?

Accepted Answer

Yes, registries are fully accessible on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices—including through the Walmart Canada app.

I purchased the gift from another retailer, how do I change the item to purchased on the registry?

To mark an item as purchased, the registrant can select "Manage" and manually update the Needed quantity and/or the Purchased quantity

I am purchasing items in-store, how do I checkout so my gift is marked as purchased on the registry?

At this time, in-store purchases cannot be linked to or tracked on a Walmart Canada online registry.

To ensure a gift is marked as purchased and to help avoid duplicate items, registry items must be purchased directly through Walmart.ca. Online purchases are automatically updated on the registry.

Orders under $35 may incur shipping fees. Add items at checkout to qualify for free shipping.

Where will the registry gifts be shipped?

Registry gifts can be shipped either to the purchaser's address or directly to the registrant's preferred address. The delivery address can be selected at checkout.

Can I ship a gift to myself or a different address?

At checkout, guests can enter any Canadian shipping address for delivery. The registrant's saved address is used as the default, but guests can override this to ship to an alternate address such as a shower location or family member's home.

Refunds for registry gifts depend on who is returning the item. If you’re the gifter, you may return the item at any Walmart store and receive your refund to your original payment method. If you’re the registrant (gift recipient), you may also return the item at any Walmart store — your refund will be issued as an e-gift card sent to your email. In either case, the standard return window for the item applies; purchasing through a registry does not affect or extend the return policy.
