The lowest level of the seat is a little high for normal counter height for a 5'5"er. Note: the last pieces to add - the washer and bolt on the bottom of the main screw, are counter threaded. My husband also stated that he'd prefer a wider seat. Otherwise, we love how there's no back to swivel and hit the counter or get in the way when wiping down the counter, love the adjustable height as well as the swivel seat to adjust it (no flimsy handle that ends up breaking), the stability of the structure, and the convenient foot rest. The look is attractive and matches our floor. Overall great quality; thankful to get them on a flash sale deal!

I am very satisfied with this purchase. The directions were very helpful.  I am an 80-year-old woman and after I assembled the first stool, I was good to go.  It didn't take me long to assemble the other three.  They are very nice-looking bar stools.

These stools are  great buy for the price.  My grandchildren use them reguarly and they have held up nicely..  they look great and are easy to clean.

Just received the stool and easy to assemble. Seems very sturdy and durable. Would suggest purchasing!

Love the height. Other counter stools that aren't adjustable tend to be too tall for my kitchen island but these were perfect. Comfortable for a stool. The only downside was the wood looks a little more printed than actual wood. Would still recommend.

I like these stools now that I've got them assembled. The assembly was a bear. For the most part it was fairly easy - just 4 simple steps to follow. You get pictures of what to put together but otherwise no written instructions. The parts were all well organized and everything I needed was there. What I had a problem with was step three - putting on the ring that serves as a foot rest. I attached three legs easily, but the fourth was difficult to put in the right place and I struggled for a long time with each stool. Eventually after much frustration and prayer I got these together. Even wished I could be one of those women who said, "It was no problem - my HUSBAND put it together." But I have no husband so it was hard work for me and I wished something was written on the instructions to make that step easier. I can see why Walmart has a discounted price on this item because I imagine there might be others who got to step three and gave up and returned these stools out of frustration. But in the final analysis, I have to say the stools seem to be well-made and sturdy, and I'm glad I bought them.

Great stools / difficult assembly in step three

This was a cheap set. I got it mostly for the look but they are not comfortable, and they tend to fall on their own regardless of how much you tighten them. They will do for now. I needed to replace a set my cats tore up. I will likely replace these with better ones but for $40 a set, couldn't beat the price!

I ordered these stools based on looks and price.  They are fair for the price, considering they are less than half the cost of similar stools. However, I am mostly disappointed in the seat. It is not wooden, which someone else mentioned in a review, but it seems to be something hard covered in vinyl. One of the seats already has damage. The good part about it, is that my husband can probably make new wooden seats for them when these vinyl covered ones get too ugly. I think that they will be relatively simple to replace, for someone who knows what they're doing. The metal is not super durable and it's not black, it's brown.  If you don't look at them super closely they look nice, again, that vinyl covered seat being my biggest hang up. Assembly was pretty easy, but some of the bolts were a little difficult to get in. The pieces were labeled well. Overall, I got what I paid for. I was just hoping to get something a little better than what I paid for.

I was excited to assemble these two chair. Almost done when we couldn't figure out how to put the step on in place .'it wasn't matching and now indind myself dangling my feet
