The foot rest is so functional for tiny learners that are just beginning to learn how to sit down for period of time while learning. It is made of sturdy plastic and I have no concerns about it breaking or chipping. It looks easy to wipe clean because we love a good mess in our house. Highly recommend for the toddler in your life!

The little holder spaces are large enough for markers or pencils but not big enough for much else. Its very easy to wipe down and the picture is printed on so you can't ruin it, being solid plastic its pretty durable.
