[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this cutting block, but you must be willing to take care of the product with consistent cleaning and polishing. It's absolutely imperative that you protect and replenish this block on a somewhat regular basis (monthly) or you'll likely be disappointed. I specifically use the Boos oil and cream maintenance kit, I've heard others using other solutions, but I don't recommend it. With that being said I absolutely love this cutting board. I make an array of items and frequently will experiment in the kitchen. Plenty of space to navigate/stage and not have to consistently rinse mid prep. Very stylish and matches my kitchen quite well. Very high quality wood and product if you are disciplined enough to maintain it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cutting board for someone that is very serious about cooking.  My husband absolutely loves having the larger space to work.  We can fit so many items and even large items like a whole watermelon.  Board is very thick, heavy and sturdy.  This is not something you hide away in the cupboard because it is too big.  It is meant to be on display.  I do recommend buying their mystery oil because it needs to be cared for monthly. Using the kit to care for board is simple and fast.  Very easy to clean up after use.  Hand grips on sides are nice, but we probably won't move much.  We eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and this will make it much easier to prepare them while containing the mess in an easy to clean spot.  It will also be a nice place to display items during entertaining and family gatherings.  It is a beautiful addition to our kitchen.

The indents on both sides are nice for handling and moving.  The size is perfect, not only for using as a cutting board but also as a charcuterie board.

The board is lighter than expected which makes for easy moving. The rounded edges and finger grips on the side are the perfect touch. The board has held up very nicely. It such a beautiful piece that I don't mind it sitting on the counter. It could easily pass as decoration. The size is perfect. Not too big, not too small. Perfect to utilize as a cutting board and beautiful enough to serve on. I'm highly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship and would recommend to all my friends and family. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my very first Maple wood cutting board, though I did use some in much smaller size than this one. The board is quite big and quite right for my kitchen needs. It is reversible, so can be used on both the sides. The board looks very premium.

The packaging was really nice, with enough support to ship it to me. Its quite heavy around 19Lbs and thick too for a heavy duty performance. The surface seemed little rough but I realized I must clean it first by oiling the board. I used the cleaning kit which contains Oil, cream and an applicator. After applying oil and cream, the board became more smooth and hydrated than before. I used the board almost for every chopping work I do in the kitchen, from vegetable to fruits to breads etch, no meat as I am vegetarian. The board is quite wide and large, I could chop easily several lots of vegetables without any crunch of space and it stayed put without moving when in use. I keep a layer of paper towel underneath since it is reversible, should be able to use both the sides with no damage on the other side.I have been using this board for couple of weeks and did not see any cracking or change in shape due to usage and cleaning, it has the same look and shape. I always wipe the moisture from the board after each use and scrape any left over food particles . 

The cleaning it the key so make sure to follow the cleaning instructions if you want to maintain well this chopping board without any issues. It depends how much you are using the board, clean it with the cleaning kit as and when needed. I make sure to clean it at least once a week with the oil and cream to maintain cleanliness and hygiene and as well to keep the board strong. 

So far the board is going strong and I am cherishing its presence in my kitchen counter. Every precious thing comes with a care , so care it by cleaning it regularly with recommenced cleaning kit for a satisfactory experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an older, second-hand Boos kitchen cart and know that their products are built to stand the test of time so when we wanted to add a large butcher block another Boos was an easy choice. The 24"x18"x1.5" size is absolutely massive, we plan to use it primarily for vegetable prep and dough but it would be an ideal size for large cuts of meat like briskets and racks of ribs. This particular board is edge grain (long pieces laid horizontally, end grain is small pieces standing on their ends) and has recessed grips on the sides making it easy to move or turn over to use the reverse side. Since it is reversible we did choose to go ahead and treat both sides with both the Mystery Oil and Board Creme. We used their applicator as well and instructions were clear and easy to follow. We treat one side and wait about two days before flipping to treat the reverse. A cutting board this size and quality is a investment that will last a lifetime with proper care.

Absolutely massive, great prep area

Turns out it's perfect for leaving on your counter or island.  The quality is spot on and you can tell and it's big enough to have plenty of cutting space. I have had several wood cutting boards that are warped from the beginning, but there is no wobble with this board. I love the size! I am able to freely chop my vegetables without having to worry about them all fitting on the board. The workmanship of this board is absolutely stunning. With proper care this board should last for years!

Sturdy!

I love that it has enough surface area to prepare each item separately, comfortably (and doesn't seem to have any limitations as to what can be cut on it). The other benefit to its size and weight is that it doesn't shift when in use. Then again, its heft makes it difficult to maneuver. Thankfully, it is equipped with handholds on either side to ease the process. Additionally, it is reversible which adds to its durability. To its credit, the board's beauty is in its simplicity. Who knew a cutting board could be a statement piece?! I proudly display it on my counter as a conversation starter. 
The only drawback to the product is the effort it takes to keep it in working order.  I have the oil and cream to preserve the board's beauty, but with application every 3-4 weeks, it is more work intensive than any other cutting board I've ever owned. I also would have appreciated a little more guidance concerning how to clean it properly without water as this is my first wood cutting board.
Nonetheless, I love this piece and highly recommend it.
