[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great. It is plastic but I knew that before bought it. Seemed like a very strong plastic which was proven when I tried it out and hit some ice Made some noise but threw the ice out with no damage.  Price was the best I've seen.

Super Product.First time used to remove 5 inches of snow with a light ice crust on top.Cleared 10 20 square foot deck in less than 5 minutes.Ice crust did not seem to hinder removal.Threw snow approx.20 feet.

Snow Joe cordless snow shovel kit

I purchased this cordless snow shovel to clear snow from our back yard patio and from the areas on our driveway that our larger snowblower could not do effectively.  This has been the best investment ever!  It is easy to use and lightweight enough if you have to remove snow deeper than the 6 inch maximum recommended, which I have had to do this winter.  The battery pack is easy to remove and charges pretty quickly.  The only negative I can say about this product is the fact you have no control over what direction the snow is thrown.  It only throws straight ahead and this can be a problem on a windy day if you have to walk into the wind.  I gave it 5 stars despite this one flaw because it still is an awesome product.

This product was perfect for me to use.  I got in in time to use in the last 2 snowstorms.  As a senior, a full-sized snowblower was just too heavy for me but the SnowJoe battery operated shovel worked really well.  It wasn't too heavy, I bought an extra battery which rechared quickly after the initial charging.  I did my own driveway, front sidewalk and even my next door neigbours sidewalk on 1 battery charge.  I was very pleased how well it worked {I even easily put it together myself} and wished I had bought it earlier in the season.

Perfect for Seniors

As shown in ad. However only good in light snow, and when you reach built up snow bogs down. Also the one I got, original, only throws straight ahead. A soon as I got mine and used it I saw newer model that has directional discharge which helps a good deal when wind is blowing straight back in your face.

Snow Joe fair

The battery  lasts! It's a bit bulky but I'm satisfied. It does what I intended it for. Works great throwing the snow as long as it's a fluffy light snow it can bust through 8 inches no problem. I use it to clear a medium size deck.

This cordless shovel works as advertised, and made its way through a wet 6-inch snow with relative ease. However, assembling it was an unforeseen challenge requiring the finessing of the cord inside the handle tubing in order to get the handle put together. Suggestion: give this unit a single tube instead of two. Otherwise, a good purchase!

Good Snow-Clearer, Once It's Assembled

The product works great with powdery snow on the deck of my cottage.  I do not expect to buy a brand new product and have to take out 5 screws to open it up to push the cord into the casing because the cord is too long. Luckily i googled it and found numerous posts on the same problem. I am handy but I cant imagine my wife or an elderly patient being able to fix this. Hence the 4 star rating.

Works Well - Electric Cord a pain

Cannot make a review because we have not had  the needed amount of  snow to properly use it. .Had we purchased this earlier in winter we would  then  know if it a good product or not.

I'm Disappointed . We had a lot of snow this at one point 12inches  in one day. It came to a point where we just used the shovels. It cuts off with a 30 sec delay before you can restart it. It will probably work good In less than 3 inches. It also strains your back . There needs to  be a change the handle design.
