It was white sand, and that's all that I cared about. I have never seen dust in sand, perhaps because nobody buys the cheaper stuff. I use it to put out cigarette butts in a container with lid. I put about 5 cups of sand in it at a time and it lasts for about six months at least. When the fan gets too dirty, I simply throw it away and take 5 cups out of my container that I put my 50 pound bag in.

This sand was very clean %26 just what I was looking for to put in  my  Florida Soft Shell  turtles tank.
Much  cheaper then buying sand from a pret shop or deptment.  This type of sand was recommended by the turtle breeders.  It saved me time %26 money, besides being the same quality!

I needed this product to stay in the bag and to not have a whole in the packaging I lost almost a lbs. the product itself perfect.

I bought this sand for my preschool classroom, it pains me to have to buy sand via a mail delivery but it's impossible to find fine sand at the stores anymore. The sand is great, it's soft, doesn't seem to be dusty and works well in a sensory table BUT the sand has loads of strange black dirt specks. They were impossible to remove even with a fine strainer, so disappointing! The kids haven't even noticed but it drives me crazy.
