Love my total gym.  Strengthing my back and core, plus my legs.  Developed Spinal Stenosis,  had a stimulator implanted in back.  Had to relearn to walk and balance myself.  Now into strenghing.  So i can get down on floor and play with my Great Granddaughter...

Birthday Gift to myself, 75 years young.

i had to take it slow because i have a bad back, my back does hurt some but i have meds for the pain. i'm up to the 3rd notch and i still take it easy . i also got myself a vitamix blender. i went to my heart doctor and found that i've not lost any weight but i do feei alot better. and my clithes feel loose , sp i've lost inches somewhere.

Changing the work out levels, attachments, and removal/re-attachment of the cable pully is so much faster than the old 1100 we owned! The wider bench and heavier duty design was well worth the upgrade.  This unit is very stable.  My Wife and I are now 60 years old, and we both really love this piece of equipment. We both went to the gym for years.  I had a personal trainer for the last two years.  I was fighting knee pain from traditional squats, and struggled to find a routine that would not cause shoulder pain.  The Total Gym is perfect for us. We can control the work out level to suit our growth without joint pain.  My shoulders have not felt this good in years. Covid drove us out of the gym, and lead us to the Total Gym XLS. At this point in life, it was meant to be.

XLS Makes Working Out Pain Free

My wife and I are 60 and have worked out all our lives. We have grown tired of the commute to the gym and waiting for machines there. The Total Gym permits a total body workout which is important for those who want to stay active in life. And it does it with only three days a week workout in less than half the time it took us to go to the gym. We walk on days between Total Gym workouts. What's not to like?

Great total body workout!

I had an older version of the total gym for the past 20 years.  It was still working, though I had to replace the cable a couple of times.  I thought it was time for a new model.  Still great.  The handles are bit different, and I would say more comfortable.  It came with the ABS cruncher, which is a nice feature.  What I really like about the total gym is that I can do my exercises at any time of the day.  If I'm busy, I'll do a bit in the morning, and the rest later in the day.

I purchased the total gym almost a month now and I have to say I feel great about this purchase not only do I use it but my children ise it as well. The workout cards that you can choose from are very good the only downside to the cards is that I wished it showed which muscles it works out like an actual diagram on the card I feel this will help customers to choose what workout to complete for what muscle. Over all I am happy with my purchase so much cheaper than  gym membership for a family of 5.

I love it, can feel it in my stomach as I work out. Measured myself and within a month I've lost any where from a quarter of an inch to half inch. Slow and steady change. Love how quickly I can switch from one exercise to the next. Looking forward to measuring myself again in another month. Love the leg pulley system and the ab crunch. My favorite.

Love it!

The quality of the vinyl and grip foam are very poor. There is a tear in the side of the glide board headrest and two in the padding of the wing attachment after less than a month of use. I take good care of the gym so I don't know how this happened and am disappointed. It should be more durable.
It is a good upper body workout for me so I do hope it holds up over time.

Not durable.

I bought 2 of these and have been using one since delivery. The other is for my 31 yr. old who has a gym membership but has a busy life. Speaking for my wife and I, we have 7 stations in our basement of good equipment and this takes the place of 5. It's great to free up some room because it was getting very tight with the rest of the machines. We are now doing exercises that we could have but weren't doing because of the card deck and wall guide. A couple areas for improvement are the for one, the cable handle connections which have to be readjusted quite frequently. The other is cable interference with the attachments towards the top of the sled slide. Overall, I give this one a thumbs up if you want to work out and have limited space and need the convenience of an in-home gym machine

Great all-in-one machine

I bought this a little less than a month ago and have not used since..  The assembly was too complicated and did not come with paper directions for ALL parts. The video helped a little but when trying to take the parts out of the box it went too fast. I thought the total gym would be lighter but I had to have my boyfriend helpe pull it out, set up, and take apart because it was too heavy for me to do it myself. I'm sure if I had the time to put everything together myself it would be great but I just don't have the time.

Too complicated
