I use this for point repair of my brick. I have brick stairs and brick facade.  I like this for its size and added strength. Yes, for the same price I could buy a 50 lb bag of mortar at the local big store but who wants to keep that around trying to store it in your garage when it's already ripped open?

The package and trowel are supposed to make it work as a standalone product. Mix in water and go. Yes, it will work but it will be harder.  I just empty the bag into a bucket, add the right amount of water and mix it.  That's a lot easier than the kneading method suggested in the directions. Also, I found a real trowel and pointer are a lot easier to use.  

I give 5 stars to the product and the fact that it's stronger than normal mortar. Less time before going back to it, especially with stairs that have a horizontal elements.
3 stars to their supplied plastic trowel.  Just use your own tools. It will be easier.

Already mixed is better per husband.
