Protect your purchase

Great looking kettle. The white-grey finish looks better on my white counters than the traditional black and metal. I also like the fact that the control buttons are not in the way when you hold the handle.

The o-ring sealing the kettle inside bottom start to bulge outand breaking in 2 months. Also the lid opening plastic hinge also broke on one side.

When pouring out hot water, the steam leaks out under the lid at the top of the handle. It burns if you hold the handle near the top when pouring hot water. Secondly, the kettle base is not sturdy because it's made of light plastic connected to a stiff electrical cord.

After a couple months of use he lid doesn't close completely so the kettle just goes on and on until I push the lid shut, taking forever to boil and wasting electricity.

The switch springs back up when it’s used for the first time of the day. It happens consistently every time. And I have to hold the base and turn the kettle around, turning and pressing the switch in search of a “sweet spot” where it will stay pressed down. It’s a gamble every time and always takes a few tries. Not impressed at all.

Problem with the press down switch

I was going to pick it up, but then it said 5$ fee to pick up, when I switched it to delivery it did not give me a charge, so I went with that one. Then they charged me 7.99$ for shipping - a little frustrated because the same one was on sale for 24.99 at Canadian tire and I opted for this one because it was free deliver. I then tried to chat with someone from Walmart online, and twice I waited half and day even after it says I was next in line. I’m over it, won’t be ordering anything from Walmart.

Does the job but is heavy, the handle is not ergonomic, and the spout is at a weird angle which makes this kettle difficult to use, especially for seniors. The filter is made of plastic mesh which will deteriorate as quickly as it did in the old kettle from their competitor. Filters are not offered for sale by either company. Companies that operate this way most certainly contribute to climate change. Look for a kettle that has replaceable parts or no plastic components.

Spout at an odd angle

It's all plastic. I would have went with something a little more durable if I had known.
