great solution to buying distilled water for humidifiers. works as stated. much more convenient then having to run to the store for bottled distilled - many stores are running out

Failed after used 9 times.

Update on previous review.  After four and a half months of use, this unit quit working suddenly.  It had worked quite well up until then.  I was digusted with it so i toss it in the garbage but maybe should have checked for warranty. I do not remember seeing any warranty information.  I have since replaced it with another model..........hopefully with better performance.

Just received this item.   It is in use and is producing distilled water.  Water looks fine.   It had some black stains both on the body of the motor plus also on the silicone sealing ring.  It is difficult to remove and actually i could not get it all off.  It seems to produce water at a reasonable rate.    Reluctant to drink it until I find out what the black stuff is.
