Bought this to replace a 2 year electric kettle from a different manufacturer that had stopped working. Appreciate the 3 year warranty on this product. It is easy to operate. The water temperature is able to be increased or decreased in 5 degree increments which makes for quicker adjustments. The flow rate out of the spout is nice - pours quickly. The matte black finish is classic.

Cuisinart created my favorite kettle

A very nice gooseneck tea kettle. I find the controls self explanatory and it is easy to use. Quickly gets my water to my desired temp and pours very smoothly.

Solid choice and feels fancy

Wonderful kettle. Have one in the kitchen, one in my office, and just bought a third for another home. They're pour-over magic... perfect temp w. a real-time digital and a beep to tell me when it's time to pour.

I have 3 - they're that good.

Son had one in his apartment and my wife liked using it so purchased one for home. Incredibly fast and convenient for daily tea and can also be taken on trips in hotels.

Incredibly fast & convenient

I have had my tea kettle for about six months and just this month bought one for a friend. It is everything all the reviews I read (and videos I watched)before buying said it would be. You can easily adjust the temperature; it heats the water quickly; it pours easily without spilling; and it is lovely to look at! If you are a big fan of all kinds of teas, as I am, you cannot go wrong with this tea kettle.

Favorite tea kettle

I am a tea bag gal. My husband does gong fu style tea brewing. The pour is great into his tiny 150ml (averaged) tea pots.  We like the Cuisinart Gooseneck water kettle. Two things could be improved. The MAX line in the kettle should be opposite from the handle for easy reading, as it is you have to twist your wrist and the kettle around to read the MAX line. It was difficult to wrap the excess cord under the base, and were surprised how little would fit in the base.  All the other features work quite well. We like the lid design better than our old OXO kettle (OXO's rubber gasket failed). 3 yr warranty is great.

Overall, this is a good kettle. It has a liter capacity which nicely accommodates my pour over coffee carafe. It heats quickly and maintains temp well. Easy to use. I wish the digital readout was an individual degree readout rather than grouped in five degree increments.

Good kettle! Heats fast, stays hot.

This kettle works very well - Quality materials, simple controls, heats up quickly and well controlled pours.  The steam vent is made into the kettle's lid, so aviod steaming the handle you have to be very careful how the lid is placed onto the kettle.  The obvious solution is to make the steam vent into the kettle's body..

Nice Gooseneck Kettle with Poor Steam Vent Design

This gooseneck kettle is fast boiling, well made, and good looking. 

I use it every day and it boils water noticeably faster than my previous kettle. This comes with a single downside: the water makes many loud sounds that are like small explosions. While this is not a problem it is something to be aware of if you are intending to use this in a noise sensitive place. The high wattage and fast boiling means that some of the larger pockets of steam collapse to create these very loud popping sounds (not like a rolling boil, discrete and explosive). 

The construction and packaging are high quality. The base is sturdy and doesn't slide around with normal use. The handle is comfortable and there is a small vent in the lid to direct the steam away from your hands when you align the arrows on the lid (a very nice little feature). The construction feels sturdy while being fairly lightweight. The buttons are responsive and I haven't accidentally pressed one yet. You do have to hold the power button down to turn it on while just a tap will turn it off, again, a nice little detail.

The aesthetics of the kettle are nice. It is understated, in a nice matte black finish. The base is functional while not being ugly. It blends into a modern set of kitchen tools without causing visitors to wonder what it is (unlike some coffee grinders). In general, it leans masculine, modern, industrial, and minimal in the visual design but it isn't an eye sore. 

I really enjoy this kettle and I won't have any issues using it until either I break it or it gives out. There are two things I would offer as a way to take this from a 4 to a 5 for the next generation of the GK1 (maybe GK2?). The first is a more apparent max fill line. I am regularly using my kettle in the dark mornings and it can be hard to see the max fill line on the inside of the kettle. It there was a small bit of material that I could use as a gauge it would help in low light uses. The second is the ability to convert the temperature reading to Celsius. I know this is not a feature that most Americans would ask for but I was very surprised to find out I could only use Fahrenheit (maybe this has to do with the 5 degree granularity but I am unsure). 

I would recommend this kettle to most people for pour over coffee and other electric kettle needs.

Fast, well made, and good looking

It is hard to see the lid's black-on-black small arrows to line them up We had to add our own w White Out. It took longer to bring to 200 than our last kettle (not a Cuisinart). There is no 202 option which is what we prefer for coffee - only 2005 or 200. If the kettle is at the full mark, it leaks out the front when pouring.
