First of all, these are marketed incorrectly - they are not for soup, liquids will leak out. 
However, they are GREAT for hot meals / school lunches / work lunches!!
PROS:
- extremely durable!  
My kids have used these for 6 years and the containers still look fine (unlike Thermos which started peeling after the first wash).
- they are PERFECT for hot lunches - meat, dumplings, mashed potatoes, etc. These won't leak or spill.
- they keep food warm for about 5h, so perfect for lunch
- unlike Thermos, these are good to be microwaved!!! And they are fine after a dishwasher.
- they have been dropped, sat on, kicked, forgotten at school, and they still look great, function great and are super easy to clean/take care of.

I recommend this product to anyone.
A tip: buy at least two per person, that way if you don't have time to wash it or they forget it at school, you can use the extra one.
Another tip: girl's love for pink is temporary. God forbid you buy them a pink container after grade 3, so I'd advise a different color.
