Bought this portable potty for a friend to take to Uganda. She and her group travel there often. They build school rooms for the children. She is ALL about education! This potty works better for her than the out houses. She loves it, so I love it! ..Thank you

While the legs are a challenge to install and collapse, the struggle is worth it as this is a very stable outdoor mobile facility especially with their disposable gel bags which install easily

It survived four days and three nights camping for one.
Make sure you know how to "set it up" and taking it apart before your trip, it saves time.
The plastic snaps that holds the legs in place are hard to maneuver, use gloves, it helps. It takes more trick than strength.

I'm a short person 5'2", it worked fine for me. Before the trip I tried using those bed risers pedestals, and I recommend those to add height for taller people, make sure they're placed well on the ground.  

It folds to a small size to carry in the trunk.
I'm happy with this purchase.

One camping trip so far

I love how durable this toilet is! I weigh 256lbs and have admittedly broken other portable toilets just by sitting on them! So, I was apprehensive to try this one - given that it only has three legs! That all being said, I am thoroughly pleased with this toilet because it supports my weight perfectly, along with securing and taking care of my waste. I recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a portable toilet!!

Heavy Duty and Highly Recommended!

This toilet is fantastic and a must for road trips with little kids. We recently took 4 young kids on a 3900 mile week long road trip. We have a Kia mini van where we set this up I'm the back seat. The kids were able to "go potty" frequently and we didn't have to stop as frequently. The toilet is very durable and stable in my opinion. We also found and agree with done of the other reviews that you can use the ozark trails bags or you can grab a Costco garbage bag which works as well.

Family road trip best friend

This worked great for us!  It was small for travel, easy to set up and the bags were very convenient, easy to use and private....no mess at all.  We set it up in a portable changing station/shower while we were camping.    We liked the fact that it has a lid you can close and we could use it several times before needing to change the bag.  It does sit low to the ground so you have to be physically mobile enough to get down and back up again.  With the 3 legs it could get a little tippy if you are on uneven ground while trying to get on or off.  We are both in our 60's and thought it was worth the money.  It sure beats using pit toilets or some campground toilets.

Great for camping!

prefer not to have to use it, but glad to have when i needed it.  my younger kids  & wife love it b/c they don't have to use the stinky, unclean public bathrooms.  work really well.

used as needed

I ordered the portable toilet online but decided to pick it up at my nearest Wallmart to save on the shipping fees. I'm glad I got to see it before I bought it, because the latch that closed the unit down into a compact carrying case, was bent and did not close. Luckily, I learned that this item was also on the shelf in the sporting good department and went to get another to replace it. Unfortunately, one of the two on the shelf also had a latch that did not close, and the other had a handle that was no longer attached to the unit.

So I went to another Wallmart on the way home. Amongst the two on the shelf, only one was intact. So I purchased it. I think this is the kind of product that needs to be thoroughly looked over before purchasing. If you have a chance to go to a Wallmart store you'll be better off purchasing it there than ordering online and getting what they happen to send you. The toilet however, looks fine tho we have not taken it camping as of yet. I do like the design quite well and it seems perfect for dry camping.

good, but needs to be checked before buying

Great idea, I make homemade bags due to the camping bags being a bit on the higher side. The leg broke and it's really challenging to be down but it definitely gets the job done as a truck driver. 
Tip: if you were interested in making the bags I would use construction trash bags cut in half, gallon ziplock bags, no smell kitty litter, and some powder laundry detergent :)

Not bad !

I don't know if I got a lemon or not.  When I opened the package, it looks like it fell into a pile of sandpapers and get scratched everywhere.  After I take a close look, it was caused by the material. According to my experience, at least this one was made out of recycled plastic. Looks cheap and dirty.
