Love that it can do several things but mainly I bought it for canning.  Love the fact that I can set it up by my sink and not have to carry heavy pot back and forth from stove.  I do a lot of canning and now that I am well into my 70's, I need as much convenience as possible.
This can replace my stove top pressure canner and my water bath canner.

I am back to canning with ease. I am older and the regular pressure cooker was making me a little nervous. Rule of thumb, never be nervous with a pressure cooker. Using the water bath method was too heavy for me now, and I have an old glass top stove. This pressure canner is the answer to my problem and much easier. Thank goodness 👍

I wanted to start pressure canning my vegetables but I was always scared of blowing myself up. lol. This is so easy and it walks you right through each step.

This is the best purchase I have ever made.  Always wanted to can butter beans and peas but was deathly afraid of a pressure canner on an electric range.  This canner makes it easy to do.  My only negative is that it takes a long time to cool so it can be opened.  So don't be in a rush.   Freezing veggies is quicker but I do not have the freezer space. The end product is well worth the wait!

I love to can but dragging out my big heavy canner is a hardship for me since I have gotten older. I was told about this pressure canner, of course I was very skeptical. I thought I would be wasting my money but after figuring it out I love it. It was not very hard to figure out, just took one time through the directions. I have only used it for season so far and I hope it holds up. I am still a little skeptical that it is too good to be true. I only can for my husband and myself. The most time of course was preparing the harvest to can. The jars after washing can be put into the canner and be ready to use. I did green beans, beets, and tomatoes this season. I am looking forward to more canning season. I will update my review if anything changes. At this time I am very happy with my purchase and may buy another.

We have a glass top stove and were worried about canning with the pressure cooker. We decided to give this a try as an alternative method for bottling fresh tuna. We are very pleased with its ease of operation. The display is very easy to read and we can set it and go do other things while it is doing the cooking part for us!!

Santa brought me the Presto Precise 12qt Electric Pressure Canner this year for Christmas (2024), and I am here to tell you that I AM IMPRESSED!  When unboxing, the first thing I did was read all of the paperwork and the manual.  The 2nd thing I did was watch several videos at the University of Youtube (very helpful).  I was able to complete 3 canning sessions (with the electric canner) my 1st day!  I have been canning for 22 years.  The electric canner is very different from the traditional, but WOW, so convenient.  It is a space saver.  My kitchen is very small, so while the Presto electric is doing its thing, I can fully use my stove for my traditional canner, or to cook a meal. For anyone who buys this canner, please take note that the cooling process from start to finish takes between 2-3 hours.  I found that after the cooling process was over, the drop vent took an additional 45-60 minutes.  For me, this was fine.  I had plenty of time to prep jars for  another canning session, clean up my messes, and to do other things.  I did keep a watchful eye on the canner because for one, you should.  For two, electric canners are new to me.  I was able to get so many other things done and it was amazing.  The canner is easy to use because it tells you what to do step by step.  I cleaned the canner after each session and that is super easy as well.  I absolutely LOVE THIS CANNER.  I highly recommend.

Presto Precise 12qt Electric Pressure Canner

First time canning... The only thing I didn't like, is instructions need to tell you: After heating your jars in the canner, to pour out the jars water before filling, into the sink not into the canner.  Canner ended up too full of water, so didn't seal and I had to can them over. Not fun. Cuz you have to empty jars, Reheat contents and complete whole process over. Otherwise canner is great. Canned homemade cat food.  What a long process.

Excellent automatic autoclave, but I am very disappointed that I can not cook directly in the tank (for example a frozen turkey, then put it in jars).

Does not allow cooking in the appliance

Very, very bad experience. First, they sent me the wrong product, then I finally got what I have ordered, but it is missing parts. Grrrrr…….
Now, I want my money back. Let's hope it doesn't take for ever to have this resolved.
