I have chronic kidney disease and heavy alkaline in the water, along with the chemicals to break down hard water hard water, I needed something I could trust that would help my kidneys by eliminating the elements that were hurting them. I started using zero water filters over 15 years ago. I have sworn by them ever since. I can live anywhere and get great water right out of my dispenser.   That was the best decision I made for my health and my family members that use the water.

Have been using Zero Water here in the mountains where our source is from an old gold & silver mine ... full of minerals.  Although biologically OK as tested by the county they don't check for minerals.  These filters are the SAME shape and content as the ones you buy as singles, two pack, or 4 pack in retail fancy packaging .... but you save several dollars on each filter.  Comes in a plain box with separators, filters sealed, and labeled just as originals.  Filtered water measured TDS result is really 000 & tastes excellent. These 8-pack filters are labeled to change when TDS reads 006 just like store bought.  

In the WM photo, looks like each filter has a base. That's a photo shadow.   Filters are the same bottom screw-on filters with washer as bought retail.

Note:  and that is;  what looked like moisture or droplets in the sealed wrappers.  I called Zero Water customer support and was told that's normal and part of the manufacturing process as they pre-flush the filter to so you don't have to do a pre-soak as other filter types.  Lady said it doesn't effect biological safety, and these have an indefinite shelf life.   Opened one up - no odor,  so ... as far as I'm concerned ... happy customer.

Tip to extend the filter's use:  So although it might seem troublesome, it's not, and saves money.   Since our tap water reads 258 TDS from the water mine, I fill a Brita pitcher first which results in a TDS mineral reduction to about 125.  (Brita filters cost considerable less than Zero, but are not as effective.)   But I use that for coffee.  Then fill again and use that to fill the Zero Water pitcher which is put in the frig for direct drinking water.  Makes the Zero Water filter last twice as long, water tastes great (now double filtered) ... and again happy customer saving money.

Best value for Zero Water

The first and only filter that I have opened and used had the black stuff already floating in the water when I filled it. I let it filter, then measured the number of the water that I poured out. It was zero. After several weeks, it is still zero so I guess it hasn't affected the actual filtration process. Hopefully, the other 7 filters will work as well.

I thought I was purchasing a stainless steel water pitcher as I am trying to get plastic out of my life. I was disappointed to find out this is a plastic pitcher with just a bit of stainless steel on the outside. In addition, the lid is not easy to seat into the top of the container indicating poor design. I would have given this pitcher a lower rating except I am happy with the actual filtration of the water and low TDS count. However I would not buy this item again nor would I recommend it to a friend.

Not what it appears to be.

These filters are Culligan knock offs manufactured in Turkey, It takes an inordinate amount of time to install and leak around the seal. The packaging is deceptive but you can easily tell the difference from the real thing.Would not buy these again.The filter life is half of a Culligan product.

Not the real deal

I ordered these thinking I was ordering zerowater filters.  Filter did not work.  Upon further investigation product packaging showed manufactured in Turkey and filter looked different than the one I used that was official zerowater.  A quick internet search showed that official filters are made in Mexico and ones made in Turkey are most likely counterfeit.  Beware of ordering online and very sad that these filters made it to consumers shopping from Walmart.  Walmart should have better controls.

these are made in Turkey. the filter granules leak out of the top, they don't fit the Zero brand.  I feel dupped!  thought I was purchasing the American brand Zero Water replacement filters.  With all the crap falling out, I can't trust the safety of the product.  

Will try to get a refund. I'll go back to Amazon.  I almost joined Walmart membership...not now.!

DON'T PURCHASE Fake, Faulty!!!!

Purchased these water filters for our ZeroWater pitcher and they appeared to be the right filter, the correct size. These filters did fit and we started to use them. They last for a month to six weeks but it took several months for us to realize these filters were terrible and faulty. Tiny orange gelatin- like seedy things started showing up in the water. We tried tap water. Bought all kinds of brands of bottled water but the orange seedy beads only got worse. Finally it was apparent that those contaminants were coming from the filters, NOT the water. Do not buy these water filters. I do NOT recommend them at all. I am beginning to pursue getting a refund for the money that I've already spent on these terrible filters.

These clearly aren't zero water brand like the product description states. They're some knock off. when I open one to use it was covered with some substance. so gross I'd rather drink my city water
