Having used the machine a while I now understand why the bottles are built the way they are. They must withstand considerable pressure while the carbonation takes place. I like the sturdy lid that is on the bottle as well it's Crouzon tight and keeps the carbonation in the bottle when I store it in the fridge.

Good design

I make about 3 bottles of soda stream seltzer daily. It saved my life because I got tired of lugging cartons of seltzer up the stairs and into my house. It saves time and money. I enjoy it with a twist of lemon or lime. It's so easy to use. My entire family enjoys it.

I Love Soda Stream!

I drink seltzer and fresh lemon juice everyday. I fill a thermos with ice, seltzer and some fresh squeezed lemon juice, and take it to work. I love the fact that I can now make my own seltzer using either purified what that I make, or I can use distilled water. At least I know that it is good a good, healthy, wholesome drink made with good clean water and a organic lemon.

AN EXCELLENT DECISION

It's pretty basic, the product (1 Liter Carbonating Bottle twinpack) is what I expected it to be.  I can't imagine what else it would be. lol The only issue or thing that kind of annoys me is the order of process when creating the drink.  Because the order of steps say to first add the carbonation to the water then add the flavor.  But after adding the flavor, only way to make sure it's blended thoroughly is to "gently" shake.    Well we all know what happens when you shake a soda, right! lol Aside from the geyser (which I'm used to slowly opening the cap for a controlled gas release), you lose a lot of the carbonation by having to shake it.  I've noticed that with some of the flavors, there's a chemical reaction similar to adding baking soda and vinegar (elementary school volcano science projects).  That's the only issue I have, I'm not sure why you can't mix the flavor with the water first then add the carbonation after...and too chicken to try it in that order because I'd hate it if some how that would affect my "Power" from working properly.  Thank you to everyone at SodaStream for having these awesome products.  It's makes me so happy knowing the I'm really eliminating a huge # of plastic bottles being added to our ecology.   You guys are the best.

What I expected it would be.

I bought a soda stream machine with a defective bottle. Soda stream customer service immediately sent me a replacement without question. I am impressed. Their service matches the impressiveness of the product. I am enjoying drinking  carbonate water. Having the extra bottles means I always have cold carbonated water in my fridge at ready.

Not sure how they arrived as I sent them back unopened, but since they were only in a white plastic bag and it's meant to be a pressurized bottle I wonder if they would have been damaged in shipping. I probably wouldn't have kept them if I hadn't found them cheaper at Amazon because I don't want them to explode because some package landed on them in transit and caused a micro fracture.

I have to fill the bottles above the water line in order for the straw that goes in the bottle to carbonate the water to fit. Then pour some of the water back out to add the syrup. They are not the same design as what came with my unit.

Not the same size as original bottles

These bottles don't fit in the regular sodastream appliance!  They're too tall. Such a disappointment! We didn't try them initially because we have 3 of the regular size- like it comes with. We had thrown the packaging away a while before.  When we tried to use them, they can't fit into the machine at all, so we can only use the other bottles and then dump that into the slim ones.
